Free Fantasy Football – Zath Premiership 08/09 Update

It’s been great to see so many people sign up to the challenge of the free fantasy football ‘Zath Premiership‘ so far, even before I’ve announced the prizes on offer – more on this in minute!

I just wanted to let everyone know that there is still time to sign up before the first points scoring week of the Zath Premiership which will actually be Game Week 2 of the overall game. The free fantasy football game itself started last week (Game Week 1), but I held off on starting our league as I wanted to do some further promotion, get a proper logo (hope you like it!), organise some prizes and ensure everyone had got signed up that had shown interest in it so far.

My apologies go out to anyone who did exceptionally well in Game Week 1 and won’t get those points counted towards their Zath Premiership total – I think the main person who lost out because of this was my brother, Rich who’s team did really well – a potential all-conquering team perhaps? – everyone else had better watch out!

And now to the prizes on offer in this year’s Zath Premiership – the first year we’ve offered prizes! – I had hoped to arrange some more unique prizes, which may still happen down the road, but for the time being you’ll have to make do with cold hard cash!

Therefore, here is what everyone is competing for and will be awarded at the end of the 08/09 season of the Zath Premiership in May 2009.

1st Place – £30 ($60)
2nd Place – £20 ($40)
3rd Place – £10 ($20)
Last Place – £5 ($10) OR take a gamble on the “Zath Mystery Wooden Spoon Prize!”

So there you go, if you want to be in with a chance of winning these prizes and haven’t already done so, register now for the Zath Premiership – before 11.30am 23rd August 2008 to make sure you are scoring points from the start of the Zath Premiership!

I’ve also added a “Premiership” button to the menu bar at the top of each page, so when you click that it will take you to the latest standings in the Zath Premiership – Good Luck everyone!
