Free Fantasy Football – Zath Premiership 08/09 – Register Your Team Now!

It’s almost 3 months since the Zath Premiership 07/08 finished, which means that it’ll soon be time for the 08/09 season of the Zath Premiership to begin!

The Zath Premiership is the fantasy football league that I run here on Zath, based upon the results of the English Premier League. Summer is moving along – I hope you’re all having a good summer by the way (regardless of the weather), but it’s time to start getting back to work! Well I say work, I mean thinking about who you’re going to have in your fantasy football team this season.

There’s now just two weeks to get your team (re)registered to be ready for the opening week and be ready to try and beat the current reigning Zath Premiership champions; ‘The Jinxed XI’ managed by Andrew Potter….or at least be able to gloat when you beat my team; Zath Rovers!

To summarise the competition:

1. Spend £100 million on a team of 11 first team players and 4 substitutes.
2. You can make as many changes to your team before the first game of the season as you like.
3. After the season has started, you can make one change to your team per week for free, or make further changes that will cost you some of your accumulated points.
4. You can nominate one week during the season to be your ‘transfer wild card week’ where you can make as many changes as you like at no extra cost.

Some of the improvements that have been made to the game this year include:

1. Head to Head Leagues
All players joining before Gameweek 1 will be placed in a head to head league which follows the real Premier League structure. Each Gameweek you will play a match against another team in the league, with a match result based on fantasy scores. Three points will be awarded for a win and one point for a draw.

2. Enhanced player information window
We’ve improved the player information window so you can get quick and easy access to all the vital player stats.

3. Private league rankings shown on your team page
Your private league rankings will be shown together with your team name on your team page.

4. Ranking changes in private leagues
Icons provide an overview of who did well this gameweek in your private leagues.

5. Improved help integration
On pages where you select and manage your team you’ll find a Help section at the bottom of the page.

2. Once you’ve got a team put together, click on the Leagues link on the right hand side of the page and in the ‘Join a Private League’ field, enter the code below to join the Zath Premiership!

We’ve already got quite a few signed up, make sure you get signed up before 23rd August otherwise you’ll miss out scoring points from the start, although you can join up at any point – maybe you want to give us all a few week’s head-start because you’re that good?
