World of Warcraft Mouse

Yes you read it correctly, there’s now a World of Warcraft mouse which has been specifically made by SteelSeries to make the millions of World of Warcraft players’ gaming lives better!
Custom accessories for playing World of Warcraft is nothing new, there’s been WoW specific keyboard sets for the Z-Board gaming keyboard (also made by SteelSeries) for several years now, but this is the first custom-made mouse I’ve seen for this immensely successful game.
The mouse itself has a definite “WoW” look to it – in both senses of the word! – I think it looks like a piece of glowing armour!
In terms of specifications and features it has:
- Macros up to 160 characters
- A total of 15 programmable buttons
- Over 130 predefined commands for drag-and-drop macro creation
- 16 million illumination choices with 3 intensity and pulsation levels
- World’s first gaming mouse designed exclusively for World of Warcraft®
This WoW mouse would also seem to be a wired only mouse, with no option wireless connectivity, presumably because of the power requirements of the custom lighting effects. The mouse itself will be released on the 13th November for around $100, so you’ll be about to use it with the upcoming Wrath of the Lich King expansion!
I’ve recently starting playing the PvP elements of World of Warcraft and am really enjoying them, but with this mouse I think that it would really help streamline your control system and hopefully improve your PvPing ability.
Overall, I’m really looking forward to getting a custom produced World of Warcraft mouse and testing it out, hopefully it will perform as well as promised – hell even if it doesn’t it should look like a very cool mouse to have on your desk to perform standard mousing functions!
