Windows Mobile iPhone Theme
Have you seen the Windows Mobile iPhone themes that are out on the Internet? I have a Windows Mobile phone, however one of the things it lacks is the iPhone theme which is a very intuitive and cool looking user interface that Apple has come up with – it certainly is very different from your regular style of user interface that you get on most mobile phones.
In the year since it first appeared, it’s had a real influence on other how other manufacturers are developing their own interfaces, however I’ve yet to find one that truly rivals it.
With that in mind I thought I might buy a Windows Mobile iPhone theme for my mobile phone, the HTC Tytn II as the standard themes included are very much work-based solutions rather than anything innovative or slick-looking like the iPhone.
Once you install the iPhone theme for Windows Mobile, your mobile phone display then looks much more like that of the iPhone. If you have a touchscreen then the operation of your mobile phone will start to be more like the iPhone, but since it’s ultimately a ‘skin’ for the Windows Mobile interface, you won’t get all the iPhone’s innovative interface functionality.
However, for prices that start at around $10, this is a great addition to your mobile phone that adds a certain amount of style and functionality to it, plus your friend’s will have less to boast about their iPhones.

UPDATE: There’s been a Windows Mobile iPhone theme update that has now added additional functionality including ‘finger gesturing screen sliding’.

I haven’t no Surur, thanks for highlighting that for us – I do wonder how many iPhone users would make the move the other way to make their Apple interface into a Windows style one?
WMPowerUser looks like a good site though, I’ll definitely look further into it!

I bought my theme as you said for $10 and works like a charm…even though you are never going to achieve the full iphone experience down to the hardware that you have…it is still the closest you will get!
Interestingly the theme for sale at http://www.iphoneforppc.com has just created an easier installation process for theirs…and after getting a free upgrade I must say that they have done a great job…it is even more like the iphone than before…and a lot more easier to install!!

@Tom – thanks very much for your feedback and update on the iPhone theme which now includes the sliding functionality similar to the iPhone, I’ve been meaning to write an update to this, so thanks for the reminder!
Hope you find that your Windows Mobile iPhone theme makes other people look and creates a talking point as I find in using it too!
