Windows 7 Cheap Price Deals! (UK)

Not so long ago, we reported that Microsoft were going to be offering special Windows 7 pre-order pricing deals ahead of its 22nd October 2009 release date, well now it is our turn to scramble around the various stores that are offering the special pre-order pricing after North America has already had its chance to preorder Window(s) and get it on the cheap.

Here in the Europe, however we’ve got still got to pay a fair bit more than our American cousins as the EU decreed that the Internet Explorer browser had to be removed from the operating system, the same browser which is used as part of the Windows 7 upgrade facility. This ultimately means that Microsoft are unable to offer the upgrade version for sale in Europe (at least to being with at release), so our pre-order version has to be for the full Windows 7 license version, although lacking a browser, these versions for sale in Europe will therefore carry a suffix of E to signify that they are missing the Internet Explorer browser.

Anyway, you can pre-order between 15th July and 9th August 2009 you can expect to pay around £50 for the Windows 7 Home Premium or around £100 for Windows 7 Professional. These prices are definitely a substantial discount on the kinds of prices that we’ll see when they are released, so if you’re not planning on buying a new PC, then you might want to consider this pre-order offer.

I’ve been using the Windows 7 RC download version on my main desktop machine without any problems ever since it was released back in May – I can honestly say that it’s much improved operating system over that of Windows Vista, has some great new features and will actually run faster and give better general performance on the same machine than Vista does – that’s pretty much a first for a Microsoft operating system!

You can pre-order your copy of either version of Windows 7 from the online stores listed below, but there’s apparently only limited stocks (not sure why when it’s a digital product which doesn’t exist in physical form yet???) – so if you might be wanting one or more of these Windows 7 preorder deals, then get in there quick!

UPDATE: If you have multiple computers in your house you’re wanting to buy Windows 7 Home Premium for then you might be better off buying the Windows 7 Family Pack and saving even more money!
