Wii In High Definition?
The word is out that Nintendo could be releasing a new version of the Wii in 2011. This version would enable people to play true high definition (HD) games on the Wii, will have an increased hard drive and will still carry the name Wii.
It’s not that long ago that I covered the talk of there being a Wii 2 on its way and now some more speculation has come to light.
This is only speculation though and not a definite announcement……yet. You just know that there will be a new Wii which will allow for high definition like the PS3 and Xbox 360 games in the not too distant future. But like I say, don’t get annoyed if you’ve just bought yourself a Wii, because this is just talk and any revamp or replacement will no doubt be years away.
With the Wii being a behemoth in terms of how well it’s doing in the ‘next-gen’ console war, don’t expect the second coming yet!
Are you annoyed, excited or just downright insulted? Would you like to see your Wii in high definition? – Then leave your feedback below. We’d love to know!

Sounds about right for a ‘Wii 2′; HD with huge hard drive and more speed. All in all, just enough in updates to make you want to buy it, but nothing so Mister Salad Fingers orgasmic until the New, new Wii comes out. Wii III. Apparently it will be called, Wii Wii. I kid, I kid.

Why hasn’t a wireless motion sensor controller been released to the xbox 360 or ps3? That would surely flatten the all wii competition?

A more powerful Wii with high definition capable graphics would perhaps attract the more hard-core of gamers, particularly given like ‘PS3 fan’ says that Sony and Microsoft still haven’t brought out their own Wii-style motion controllers – they must either be really struggling to re-create it or simply don’t want to go head to head with Nintendo.

In response to that guy called PS3 fan, no I don’t think a wii remote copy would dominate the Market just yet. Xbox 360 could do it now that it has the new NXE, revamped wii style image and cheap cheap cheap price tag, but PS3 is too expensive for casual gamers, and after all kids and casual gamers are the only ones who care about motion control. Sony surely know that their PS3 isn’t price wise appealing, and they know who their target audience is. to be honest, I think it would e foolish for microsoft and Sony to completely change their image and adopt motion control seriously.
