Wii Fit Plus Announced
Can you really say that you’re surprised to hear news of Wii Fit Plus? Especially after Nintendo unveiled Wii Motion Plus at last year’s E3 event?
Wii Fit was a massive success following its release and has since sold over 15 million units so far. So why wouldn’t Nintendo release a ‘sequel’ to its biggest seller since the Wii was released.
Of course there are additions to Wii Fit Plus which includes six new yoga and strength exercises and 15 new balance games.
One of the balance games is an assault course which looks like great fun and very reminiscent of Super Mario Galaxy which and you can see it in the video below. Other balance games include juggling on a ball, and skateboard in a skate park, amongst others.
With Wii Fit Plus you can organise you own fitness regime from the activities available to your specific needs. A calorie counter has also been added to show you how much you’re actually burning off during the exercises. With Wii Fit, each time you finished a workout, you had to choose another from the menu, but now you can set up a continuous workout so you can go straight through for 30 minutes if you so wish.
The release date is set for the end of this year and it will come bundled with a Wii Balance Board or as separate software if you already on a balance board like myself.
I did really enjoy Wii Fit and with extra things to do and an updated fitness regime personal to you, it does make this sound like it would be a good addition to the Wii Fit phenomenon.
