Transformers 3 Release Date In 2011

transformers-movie-autobot-logoIt’s official! The next Transformers movie is coming to theatres in less than 2 years! The Transformers 3 release date will be Summer 2011.

It was announced on Michael Bay’s official website saying that they had “a great Transformers 3 story”. A meeting has already taken place with ILM (Industrial Light & Magic) and talks are to begin with Hasbro about new Transformers characters.

After Transformers 2 I’m not sure how to take this news. There were parts of it that I really liked, yet some really awful parts, like the twins!! I’d like to think that it will go back to being a bit more like the first Transformers movie but build from that and give us something really amazing and a decent storyline. I loved the first film, but thought the storyline was weak and same with the second movie but a tad worse.

There’s no official cast list yet, but it seems Megan Fox will reprise her role as Michaela and hopefully Shia LeBeouf will be back as Sam Witwicky.

With a release date of July 1st 2011, it must mean they won’t be wasting any time and probably likely to start shooting early next year. Who knows?

    Transformers 2 is now up there with Spiderman 3 for me now – I just don’t want to watch them as both those films could tarnish the franchise of what came before – which were really good and enjoyable films.

    I personally would rather another director took over the reins from Michael Bay or he should at least listen to someone to point out all the plot-holes, continuity and sheer ridiculous-ness of some of his ideas
