Toy Story 3 Trailer

I’ve got a problem. Well, it’s more of an obsession. Any time anyone mentions the words Toy Story, all the little Serenas inside me jump around in glee. They go mental, actually. After watching the first one at the tender age of 12 (in the tender year of 1995), I fell in love with it immediately. It resonated so much with my own experiences of growing up and how important your true friends are that when the sequel was announced four years later, all the little Serenas threw a party in celebration. News of the third to complete the trilogy definitely made all the little mes go bonkers and head to Vegas.
But, the flimsy Toy Story 3 teaser trailer that Disney/Pixar released a few months ago was so poor that it made me a little sad. I watched it and felt like throwing a tantrum because of the fact that after NINE YEARS of waiting for news of the third film they released a trailer that revealed nothing but the fact that there was a third film. What a waste of time.
Please bear with me, this article isn’t all doom, gloom and misery. Toy Story managed to do something so bloody brilliant for Pixar that companies all over wanted to invest more money into it (including that teeny tiny company you may have heard of – you know the one; Disney). The films that came after it were of mostly the same quality and style (notably The Incredibles, Monster’s Inc., Finding Nemo), with the very same humour that we know and love from this giant filmmaking enterprise.
And so, the moment you’ve all been (it could really just be me) waiting for… *drum roll* … we present to you the Toy Story 3 trailer! Not teaser trailer. The trailer. The trailer for the film that will once again break box office records. The film franchise that nobody dislikes and that everybody can relate to. You’ll be able to hear more of the breathtaking soundtrack that is timed so well it brings me to tears. The film that everybody will be talking about for the later part of 2010 after it’s released in the summer. I can’t wait. I really can’t. Andy grows up and The Toys are donated to a kindergarten. Cue more childish shenanigans from the pack and Buzz turning Spanish… how can you not get excited?
The best part of all of this is that it’s out on my father’s birthday. My favourite friend in the whole world.

I’ve always liked the Toy Story movies since I first saw them, initially because they were computer animation so I liked them from the technical aspect but soon enjoyed the story as I first sat watching the original.
It’s an interesting new direction the story is taking with this one, hopefully it will prove to be a good move for all concerned! ;)
Perhaps the best part might also be that Toy Story 3 has been made with it being viewed in 3D, so hopefully it’ll be a great way to see our toy friends indeed!

I really am a super dork when it comes to this film franchise. It gets me giddy and I do that thing that children do when they’re excited. You know the thing… when they just squeal and run around in circles.

I can’t wait for this!! I went to see Toy Story in 3D last week and I just can’t wait!!!!! Pixar is one of the reasons I got my degree in animation and why I love it so much. Serena, I’m like you. Whenever Pixar bring something out I’m a super nerd! Just hope they don’t leave us waiting like they have with Up!!
It’s going to be great – the trailer looks smashing and they’ve really kept with the themes and kept it all true to its original roots :)
