Writers’ Strike Over

The Writers’ Strike in America is now over! It’s taken around 3 months to resolve the situation which has left this year’s American TV shows all over the place, so where does that leave us?
It’s good news that this has been resolved for the writers, but the viewers have been left with scraps in terms of their favourite TV shows with many of them having cut-short their seasons. They’ve either just stopped mid-season in the case of many (hoping to see out the strike and get back to it), drawing a line on what was to be covered (Heroes stopping at the end of Volume 2 instead of the planned 3 this year) or having their story squashed into fewer episodes such as the case of Prison Break.

The WGA (Writer’s Guild of America) strike has been going on a while now and the effects are starting to show for us fans of the top American TV Shows and since most shows are now running out of scripts - production is coming to a standstill.
Most of my TV viewing consists of US TV Shows, so with it looking like we’ll definitely end up with episodes being delayed at best - this year could be a barren year for my TV viewing!
So what do the writer’s of (the brilliant) US TV show “The Office” do when they are not writing, but actually on strike, take a look below. I’ve read a few articles about this on news sites, but this certainly puts what’s happening into context with familiar faces from the show!
