Action Video Camera – Record Outdoor Activities

December 12, 2009

action-video-cameraMost video cameras have a massive problem when it comes to shooting great action shots. And by action shots you normally mean someone driving or running past. This Action Video Camera though, is a totally different kettle of fish. It is capable of filming a downhill pursuit in high quality video, as well as underwater video. But best of all, it costs less than your house!

It features a built in 1.5” LCD screen so you can see exactly what you are shooting. As well as a connection to attach it to the handlebars of your bicycle as you hammer it down the hill, there is also a helmet grip for if you want to film from your own perspective, how about recording your skiiing/snowboarding adventures?

November 25, 2009

usb-snakescope-cameraLong, strong and semi-flexible. The USB Snake Scope Camera can worm its way into all those awkward places that you can’t see without shifting furniture etc. It’s great for those annoying Christmas moments where you drop your quality street down the side of the sofa.

The tiny camera is capable of producing VGA quality video at 640×480 resolution and comes with twin LED lights to light up whatever it is you’ve lost. A great addition is a removable magnetic head to draw in any screws, nuts and bolts that get dropped.

Night Vision Digital Video Camera

November 1, 2009

night-vision-digital-video-cameraEveryone seems to have digital video cameras these days, whether it’s carrying a dedicated device such as the Flip Ultra HD Mini Video Camera or even simply using their mobile phone to record videos, however clearly technology moves on and now you can record footage in the dark without spending hundreds or even thousands of pounds by getting a Night Vision Digital Video Camera as seen on the Gadget Show!

In the past having the ability to see in the dark has only been available to the likes of the TV companies, the army and the police, at best us members of the public could only hope to buy an expensive set of night vision binoculars to get an idea of what was happening around us in the mystery of the night. However, now you can get a night vision digital video camera for less than the cost of those aforementioned expensive pairs of binoculars.

iPod Nano 5th Generation Review

October 7, 2009

apple-ipod-nano-5th-genI’ve spent quite a lot of time with the latest 5th generation of the iPod Nano since its release last month, and found it to be a welcome addition to Apple’s holiday line-up with a host of welcome features including what must be Apple’s most leaked update to an iPod with the addition of a video camera.

First Impressions

The new Nano is available in two capacities, 8GB and 16GB, priced at £115 and £135 respectively, available in 9 different colours. The first thing you’ll notice about the new model is a bigger screen and a smaller click wheel. The screen is now 2.2” big, with a strange resolution of 240 x 376, compared to the previous resolution of 240 x 320.

I’ve never been able to watch a full length movie on the Nano, and despite the slight increase in screen estate, I still can’t, but it’s great for watching a short TV show, a video podcast or a few music videos very comfortably. I found the aluminium enclosure to be very durable, as the first thing I did (accidentally of course) was drop the Nano from about 4 feet on to a hard floor with no noticeable damage to the casing or hardware.
