‘Call of Duty: World at War’ DLC Map Pack 3 Details
July 21, 2009
The ‘Call of Duty: World at War’ Map Pack 2 has only just been released and now Treyarch have announced they are throwing another map pack out next month! As good as the maps are, I do think that they’re doing this to bleed money out of the fans!!
If this is going to be ready for August, why not release it in Map Pack 2?

The time has come!…For a new pack of COD: World at War maps!
The second map pack for the popular Call of Duty: World at War is available from 11th June 2009 and will be around the same price as the first map pack.
The first map pack was pretty good, with the second Nazi Zombies pack being my personal favourite, but hopefully the multiplayer maps will be better than the COD: WaW first map pack. They were ok, but there was only one that I really liked which was ‘Knee Deep’.

There always seems to be some news on a Call of Duty game these days, what with two companies, Activision and Treyarch, developing the games so they can release one each year. With Activision currently working on Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2 (release date – Nov 2009), there’s no doubt Treyarch will be back with Call of Duty 7 in 2010.
The latest on the grapevine is about where the next Call of Duty game (after Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2) is going to be set in terms of combat arena.
Going by recent reports, Call of Duty has finished with World War II, with Treyarch “glad to end World War II in World at War.”

It’s just been announced that there will be another map pack released for Call of Duty: World at War in June, with another 3 additional maps and another Nazi Zombie map – this should make for a great follow-up to the Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 1.
There’s even going to be extra trophies/achievements available for the PS3/360 with the new map pack.
No news yet as to how much Map Pack 2 is going to be, but I’m assuming it will be the same price as the first one was when that was released a couple of months back.

The details have been released for the upcoming new map pack for Call of Duty: World at War. In my last post I gave you a brief description of what was coming up in the Call of Duty: World at War Downloadable Content (DLC), but even more information has been released with a release date.
These maps are set to be released on both PS3 and XBox 360 on March 19th. Nothing yet on how much the map pack is going to be, but I’m going out on a limb and saying that they’re probably going to be the same as what they were when they released the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare maps which was £6.99.

Many people were a little taken aback when it was announced that Call of Duty 5 would return back to a World War 2 setting in Call of Duty: World at War, however I’m someone who hadn’t played Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (and still haven’t got to playing it yet) so for me personally this follows the spirit of the previous Call of Duty games I’ve played.
The new setting of the Pacific war in which you play an American soldier compliments the more usual European war location (in this case you’re fighting as a Russian trying to take back Russia) and I feel adds a completely new take on things in terms of both tactics and the feel of the graphics.

Treyarch and Activision has just announced that there will be Call of Duty: World at War downloadable content (DLC) available this March for PC, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3.
In Map Pack 1 there will be 4 new maps to play around and to find new sneaky hiding places so you can rack up that kill count!

After the impressive Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Treyarch had a lot to live up to with Call of Duty: World at War.
Treyarch are the company who made Call of Duty 3 and did it very well so there was no doubt that World at War was going to be good, but just how good?
It turns out very good indeed!
Some people did seem a little disappointed in the fact that this was yet another WW2 Call of Duty and that it was a step backwards, but this is more in depth than the other ones, albeit a hell of a lot shorter, which did annoy me, and was one of the faults with Modern Warfare. But don’t let that put you off, because it really is a great game.
