Wall-E

Wall-E (U)
Director: Andrew Stanton
Cast: Ben Burtt, Sigourney Weaver, Jeff Garlin, Kathy Najimy
Running Time: 103 minutes
How do Pixar do it? They just keep raising that bar higher and higher. It’s hard to say this is the best Pixar film to date as that’s like asking which one is your favourite child?
I thought that Wall.E was going to be an amazing film, but never this good.
It’s been 700 years since humans left the inhabitable earth on a giant spaceship called the Axiom, where every human now lives and does nothing…..literally.
For the first 40 minutes or so of the film, there are no dialogue parts, apart from the odd robot sounds, but this really adds to the cuteness and love-ability of Wall.E. He has a pet cockroach that goes everywhere with him during his day of tidying the mess left on earth by humans, and stacks it into skyscraper sized piles.

Hi folks! I’ve just finished storyboarding my new animation about a superhero! I’m going to using the same character as ‘The Graveyard’ but everything else will be my own work.
It’s going to take me about 3 – 4 months tops to get it finished (hopefully earlier) if I work through some night shifts!!

Rambo (18)
Cast: Sylvester Stallone, Julie Benz, Matthew Marsden, Graham McTavish, Reynaldo Gallegos, Jake La Botz, Tim Kang, Maung Maung Khim, Paul Schulze, Ken Howard & Sai Mawng
Director: Sylvester Stallone
Running Time: 91 minutes
It’s been twenty years since Rambo III and thank God that Sly Stallone is like a fine wine and gets better with age. I thought ‘Rocky Balboa’ was a good film, but Rambo is better.
The last 2 films, I thought, were a bit over the top with weak characters and storyline. But Rambo’s storyline is stronger and is helped along by a good cast.

I’ve just watched the new trailer for the new upcoming animated film of Star Wars: Clone Wars which will then be continued in the form of a series on the TV channel Cartoon Network. I love the style of animation and am actually really looking forward to seeing this and think it could repair a bit of the nuclear damage that episode I, II and III have done to the Star Wars franchise.
‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’ Review

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (12A)
Cast: Harrison Ford, Ray Winstone, Cate Blanchett, Shia LaBeouf, William Hurt, Karen Allen, Jim Broadbent
Director: Steven Spielberg
Running Time: 122 minutes
I’m a big Indiana Jones fan and was in two minds about this film being released. At first I thought that Harrison Ford would be too old to give us a decent action performance, and because of what George Lucas did to Star Wars, I was nervous. But on the other hand, I really wanted to see another Indiana Jones film. But I was surprised by just how good Harrison Ford still is at action films.

When I remember back to playing on my Commodore Amiga in the earlier days of my gaming, one of the most memorable games has to be the arcade-style Golden Axe! For me one of the best things about this game was the fact that it had co-operative gameplay which really was quite rare back then and really made this game rather unique and fun to play with your friends.
Just check out the video below which shows the Amiga version and take in the nostalgia of the hack and slash gameplay - not to mention the classic Golden Axe music!

Director: Jon Favreau
Running Time: 126 mins
So begins one of the biggest summers in movie history!
When I first heard Iron Man was coming to the big screen, I was a bit sceptical. Was it to be another poor attempt at introducing a Marvel hero, or was this to be marker for future superhero films?

April 2, 2008
The Lego Indiana Jones game is looking like it will be another casual, fun game that unites the two great elements of Lego and Indiana Jones together into one game, much like the Lego Star Wars games did.
You could argue that these Lego-inspired video games are just “kids’ games”, but they are still plenty of fun, especially when playing through such memorable moments from some of your favourite movies!

Jericho is a TV series about the inhabitants of an American small town in Kansas called Jericho!
The basic premise is that nuclear bombs have been detonated by forces unknown in all the major cities. The first season basically covers the fall out (quite literally) from such an event and how day-to-day life in a small American town is affected.
Throw in some conspiracies, the breakdown of law and order, the fighting for resources in what is the end of world, you’ve got a great show that is very compelling series to watch! Take a look at a season 1 trailer:
