How To Setup Xbox 360 Media Player ‘Ecosystem’ Guide: Part One

As promised in my How To Setup Xbox 360 Media Player Guide teaser, with this help of this guide you should be able to stream everything. Play anything. Hundreds of HD movies. Thousands of songs. No DVDs, no DRM, no getting up from the sofa. No need for your PC to even be on and above all, no fruit! I told you I’d show you how to do it, so here it is. From scratch.
Part One: Infrastructure and Software
I recommend that you follow this guide with a clean installation of Windows 7 on a modern, Intel, dual-core or better native PC (ie. Not VM or Boot Camp), with at least 2GB of RAM, an internal SATA HDD, wired Ethernet and USB2 onboard.

The more this LDNnudetech calendar debate goes on, the more I’m just laughing inside. Laughing because people can get really uptight about the silliest of things and generally laughing because people assume they know more than others and feel the need to pontificate and/or judge because of it. The Evening Standard is behind it and so is the Telegraph. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, it’s simple; 24 successful, hardworking men and women in the London tech scene have posed nude (naughty bits covered) for a calendar, of which there will only be 5000 copies made. All of the proceeds will then be going towards Take Heart India; a youth-run charity that has IT-based projects in India for blind and disabled students.
The main point of argument some seem to keep having is that people, especially women, don’t need to be taking off their clothes in order to make a point or raise money for charity. They need to use their brains, obviously. However, on the same vein, it appears it’s completely acceptable for men to do whatever they like. This argument has never and will never ring true for me for the simple fact that if you look around you, sex, in some form or other, is everywhere. Why are people still so outraged about this? I would’ve thought that, by now, it was quite clear to see that we actually quite like nudity and naked flesh – and that we’re not living in the 1950s! Both men and women can, and like to, look good naked. And, we like looking at them.

The time is nearly upon us. A while back we caught our first glimpse of the Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time trailer and now the game will soon to be released on PS3 which means there’s sure to be a demo released.
Well there is…and we’re going to be getting two Ratchet and Clank: A Crack In Time demos!
The demo was going to be released as a single demo but there might have been problems because of the size of the file and the time it would take to download.

I didn’t know this, but the Dreamcast is almost 10 years old. I probably didn’t know because I wasn’t a fan of the Dreamcast and neither were a lot of people which is probably why it did so badly and the reason why we haven’t seen a SEGA console since.
But it’s not all bad as it’s been announced that there is to be a new Sonic game released and it’s going back to the glorious 2D side scroller that made Sonic so popular. The graphics will of course be in HD, but I’m not getting too excited just yet.

I’ve just watched the new trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 which is due out this November and it just keeps looking better. This one is just amazing and definitely improves on the previous COD 6 trailer.
From the looks of things, Call of Duty games are becoming much more storyline based than it’s predecessors. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare had quite a decent storyline to it, but Modern Warfare 2 looks likely to pistol whip the first into submission.

A new Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2 trailer has gone live over the Internet after the previous Call of Duty 6 teaser trailer.
This trailer was shown in the US during a basketball game, and it’s now available for everyone to see, and it looks awesome!
The scenes in the trailer are set in a few places such as what looks like a Russian base in the snow, scuba diving underwater and a snowmobile chase which looks reminiscent of Call of Duty games gone by, which had you shooting out of a moving vehicle on roads. Of course, the gunship mission is thrown in there for good measure, just like the mission in the first Modern Warfare.

The Call of Duty 6 teaser trailer has recently been released and is very in keeping with the style of the ‘Modern Warfare’ game timeframe…in a rather cryptic sense!
The Call of Duty 6 teaser trailer maybe very much of a teaser with regards to the actual content that it is showing us, however what it does confirm is the Call of Duty 6 release date which we speculated about back in February and it has now been confirmed as being 10th November 2009.

As was mentioned last week at GDC 09, Insomniac officially announced the next chapter in the Ratchet and Clank franchise which will be called “A Crack in Time”.
If you’ve played Tools of Destruction you’ll know that Clank was mysteriously taken by the Zoni and Quest for Booty saw you playing as a lone Ratchet trying to find clues as to where Clank has gone.
