Family Guy: Something, Something, Something Dark Side Review (DVD)
January 14, 2010
I have to be honest and say that I’ve only recently got into Family Guy. I have season 1 on DVD and would watch it every now and then, but I’ve started watching it a lot more recently and I love it.
I saw the first Family Guy Star Wars film and thought it was ok compared to the TV show, so when I got this I wasn’t really expecting it to be amazing, but I found Family Guy: Something, Something, Something Dark Side lot of this to be pure comedy genius.

November 30, 2009
How have you managed to live so far without the Star Wars Force Trainer? Are you one with the Force? I’m sure we’ve all pretended to use the force at some point whether it is to open the automatic doors at the supermarket, or attempting to bring the TV remote across the room purely out of laziness. Well, for the real Star Wars fans among us this is the perfect opportunity to do just that. Sort of.
The Star Wars Force Trainer allows you to use your brainwaves and the motion of your hand to manoeuvre a star wars-esque ball up and down a star wars-esque tube. It doesn’t really sound that exciting when it comes down to it, but the technology behind it is pretty revolutionary and it’s the closest you’re going to get to using the Force outside of playing a video game like Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

July 7, 2009
As you can probably tell from reading the Tales of Monkey Island preview I wrote the other day, I’m eagerly awaiting the release of the first chapter/episode of this five part series of Monkey Island goodness, and then this morning I read about how and when we can expect to see the Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition released – oh yeah and just a bunch of other games too!
Star Wars: The Old Republic – Bioware E3 Interview
June 23, 2009
A few weeks ago we reported on how the cinematic trailer of Star Wars: The Old Republic had been released at E3 2009 – I think from just seeing that it’s clear that Bioware really understands Star Wars and what us fans really want see in a massively multiplayer online (MMO) game set in the Star Wars universe.
In this interview two of the guys from Bioware talk with Gamespot about the history of this game so far, how they’re approaching it and why it will be different from the other MMO games currently on the market – every character in the game will be fully-voiced to help create the many stories and involvement that your character will have in the Old Republic – no more reading what characters are saying and having stories that only last as long as a short quest as you might expect in a game like World of Warcraft.

June 8, 2009
The first Star Wars: The Old Republic trailer was unveiled at E3 2009, it’s cinematic in nature and is presumably the setting the scene for what will be the scenario in which the game takes place.
It was late last year that Star Wars: The Old Republic was announced by Lucasarts and Bioware as a new massively multiplayer online (MMO) game that would be set in the distant past of the Old Republic thousands of years before the time of the Star Wars movies and the events that most people are familiar with, except of course for those of us who have played the Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) games in the past.

January 31, 2009
I was really looking forward to playing the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed game because I could wield my Wii remote like a lightsaber and take over the galaxy and destroy the empire! But in all honesty it’s left me wanting to ‘pick up some power converters’. Anyone? No? Well worth a try.
The storyline of the game is good, with a few twists and turns that would make George Lucas jealous because it’s Star Wars….and it has a storyline that works.
You play Darth Vaders’ secret apprentice, and you’re sent on missions by Darth Vader to bring down the Empire. I won’t go into anymore detail on the story, because I’ll end up giving something away for those that don’t want to know.

January 21, 2009
I’m one of those people who never really watched Star Wars properly when I was a kid, I remember watching bits of those films, but I never truly appreciated them. That was until I watched them through properly once I was around 13 or 14, so I can understand how people kind of tie bits of movies together and form their own storyline – although I never thought about Star Wars to that extent myself!
Once I did watch Star Wars, then obviously the story is pretty self-evident and not exactly open to much interpretation, however watching the animation below which details a certain girl’s thoughts on what happens in the Star Wars movies – it certainly does provide a level of amusement to anyone who is familiar with the Star Wars story!

December 8, 2008
I seem to be on a real R2D2 theme in the last week what with the R2D2 projection alarm clock and now this R2D2 USB Hub, perhaps it’s because I’m watching the Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon on TV and the last couple of episodes have been about everyone’s favourite little droid!
Functionally this is the same kind of thing as the Transformers All Spark Cube USB Hub I recently wrote about, in that it plugs into one of your USB sockets and then allows you to plug in up to 4 USB devices into it which is especially useful if you’ve run out of USB sockets on your computer and don’t want the hassle of opening your computer to add further sockets.

December 4, 2008
When I saw this R2D2 projection alarm clock, I thought that it might be just what I need in my search for an effective alarm clock to get me up early and working away – that or it’s just a really cool novelty piece of Star Wars merchandise!
I recently wrote about the retro iPod alarm clock, but you could class this as being a retro classic too, I mean who wouldn’t want a little astro-droid to project the time onto their walls or ceiling?
I’m thinking this could be a great thing for me and people like me who are short-sighted – a pet-hate of mine is not being able to make out what time it is on my clock/watch without moving over to them for a close look – I’m hoping that having my own R2D2 will fix that by projecting a large red image of the time onto my wall or ceiling!

Are you interested in getting a Star Wars Ultimate Lightsaber? Now I’m sure you’ve seen the Force FX Lightsabers for sale before and you may even have bought one and it now sits proudly in your home ready to take up arms against any would-be Sith.
Now to co-incide with the release of new Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon series there is the inevitable merchandising tie-ins, however in this case it’s actually something a bit different.
