September 8, 2009
It’s been announced this morning that Sony are to release four more titles to the Platinum games range for PS3 which has now been ongoing for over a year now. These latest new titles being added to the PS3 Platinum range will include:
Ratchet & Clank: Quest For Booty Review (PS3)
October 4, 2008
I remember saying in my review of Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction that I thought it was the best looking game on the PS3 so far. But Quest For Booty seems to be more polished and looks better if that’s possible!
The game follows straight on from where we left our hero, with Clank taken by the Zoni. To where, nobody knows. But in Quest For Booty, Ratchet is trying everything he can to find his faithful friend and sidekick.
This is more of a platform game but still keeps the essence of the previous game. When I reached the island there were certain parts of it that reminded me of the first Jak and Daxter, which was cool. On the island, you have to get the power flowing back to the village so that you can access other areas. Then it’s on to other little things to find clues as to Clanks whereabouts and search for the Fulcrum Star so that you can look through the Obsidian Eye to ultimately find Clank.

Start your engines to one of the dark horses of the Playstation 3’s release titles.
I could not believe how good and addictive this Motorstorm is. I got this with a package as I didn’t think there were any other games better looking and thought it would be ok for a couple of hours or so.
A year down the line and I still love this game. Motorstorm is off road racing at its best and now it’s back as one of the PS3 Platinum games.
I’m not really one for racing games as I find them very repetitive and get boring very quickly, but this is just pure chaos on dirt tracks and lots of exploding cars and bodies flying everywhere and I love it.

August 13, 2008
This is a welcome return for Ratchet and Clank.
I was a big fan of the games on the Playstation 2, and now they’ve made the game bigger and it looks absolutely gorgeous in HD!
This time around, Ratchet is being hunted down by the evil Emperor Tachyon who wants to destroy the Lombax race and will stop at nothing to accomplish his goal, and Ratchet is the last one alive!!
It’s the same type of game as the previous Ratchet and Clank games, but they’re just so much fun. There’s a lot of humour in the cuts scenes and same really good one-liners from Captain Qwark who appears again as the village idiot who just keeps ruining things and getting himself into trouble. Along the way, Clank starts seeing like alien robots called the ‘Zoni’ and he starts the think he’s losing his bolts as only he can see them.

July 18, 2008
Normally launch titles are the biggest waste of space and end up being a waste of money. The storylines are weak, the graphics are average and they’re just downright crap.
This is completely the opposite for Resistance: Fall of Man!
Resistance is due to be re-released as one of the forthcoming Platinum titles on the PS3 for the normal Platinum bargain price of £20 in stores or you can buy it for just £14.98 online!
Without warning, the Chimera attacked from the east, and in just two months, Europe fell.
And as the Chimera hunted down the remaining survivors, the last resistance fighters rose up from the ruins of Great Britain…
Never underestimate humanity’s will to survive.”

Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune Review (PS3 Platinum)
June 20, 2008
Well what can I say about Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune? Apart from WOW!! Naughty Dog have done it again. Let me give you a ‘walkthrough guide‘ of a review of this game – don’t worry there’s no spoilers!
Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune came out last year on Playstation 3 and one of the games that I really wanted to get after playing the demo. The game is made by ‘Naughty Dog’, the geniuses who brought us the ‘Jak and Daxter’ franchise which are still some of the best games that I have ever played.
