Balloonacy - The Internet’s First Balloon Race!

June 24, 2008

orange-balloon-raceHave you ever taken part in a balloon race? Normally it involves releasing a balloon to travel the country and seeing where it manages to end up, however in the case of Orange they are running a competition for the next week to celebrate the fact that they are releasing their animal tariffs onto PAYG mobile phones.

orange-balloon-on-zathZath! is just one of the sites across the Internet that are taking part as a host for the balloon race as shown by this balloon on selected mobile phone related pages such as the Free Orange Sim Card page. My friend Gaj (of Gaj-It.com) is taking part as can be seen by his comprehensive instructions below!

I persevered with it due to it’s increased features over my old mobile and it’s really grown on me, particularly the slide-out QWERTY keyboard which makes text input so easy, also the PC synchronisation with Microsoft Outlook is really helping to organise me much better as I can sometimes be a procrastinator if I allow things to overwhelm me.

What’s in Your Gadget Bag?

May 7, 2007

This question has been answered over at Connected Internet and Bill2Me and thought it I might answer it myself here. I have lots of gadgets, but which gadgets do I carry around on a daily basis?

Well it depends what I’m doing and where I’m going, but here’s a fairly typical list:
