Cheap Car Insurance Online?

June 24, 2008

I’ve been meaning cover the issue of online car insurance and specifically write a Swiftcover review for a while now as I’ve spoken to people who dismiss the notion of using the Internet for obtaining car insurance quotes and entirely renewing their car insurance policy online.

I’ve been using online car insurance companies for the past 3.5 years to set up my annual car insurance renewal with Lloyds TSB, Elephant and now Swiftcover.

I’ve found that it’s rather easy to set up a quote with Swiftcover that includes exactly the specifications that you require, this means that you can modify the policy to remove certain parts of cover such as increasing the minimum excess to reduce your insurance quote as I did.

Play.com 5% Discount Voucher Code

May 28, 2008

I was browsing around looking for some bargains the other day, specifically looking at the bargain forum of The DVD Forums where I saw a great offer for anyone who is looking to buy from the online store Play.com in the next few days.

You can use the following voucher code (when paying for your order) to get 5% off a single purchase with Play.com and it has no minimum or maximum spend limit imposed on this offer. The only thing to bear in mind is that the voucher apparently expires on 31st May 2008.

(UPDATE: It’s now after that and it is still working - so give it a try for yourself!)

Free Tesco Mobile Sim Card

May 19, 2008

I was recently talking to a friend of mine who had got a free Tesco SIM card for her mobile phone, she has recently got sick of paying out each month and being bound to a contract with one of the main large mobile networks which just did not give her value for money.

Tesco (the UK Supermarket) has been selling Pay As You Go mobile phones for a number of years now, they began by selling PAYG handsets of the major networks, but in recent times they have been mobile phone handsets on their own branded Tesco Mobile network - which actually uses the O2 network much like Virgin Mobile uses T-Mobile.

Free Virgin Sim Card
When I saw that you could get a free Virgin SIM card for your existing mobile phone, I thought I’d may as well get one and see what Virgin Mobile is like as a ‘Pay As You Go’ (PAYG) mobile phone network, especially since my current Orange contract expires this week!

Free Orange SIM Card

Orange Sim Card
I’ve been looking at getting a free Orange SIM card recently because my current Orange contract finishes at the end of this month. I’m considering going back onto ‘pay as you go’ (PAYG) given my relatively low usage in terms of making calls and only send around 30 texts a month on average.

Free T Mobile SIM Card

T-Mobile Sim Card
A free T-Mobile SIM card? Could I interest you in one of these? You can now get a free Pay As You Go (PAYG) SIM card from the T-Mobile website, this PAYG SIM card includes free weekend texts when you top up at least £10 on a Friday.

Sounds like a good deal to me, unfortunately the network coverage around me might not be that great, but I’m getting one to test it out before I put lots of top-up onto this free T-Mobile SIM card. However, if the T-Mobile network coverage is good in your area, then this offer is a great bargain!

Free Vodafone SIM Cards
Free Vodafone SIM cards - are they something that you’d be interested in? PAYG SIM cards are something I find are always useful to have around in case you want to give an old mobile phone to a friend or family member or use it as an emergency phone, for instance to keep in the car - for that you could do with getting free vodafone SIM cards.

Mobile phone network providers normally charge anywhere up to £10 for these PAYG SIM cards, however they do occasionally offer them at reduced cheaper prices or even free on certain special offers. It’s at this time it’s good idea to get some free Vodafone SIM cards ordered in case you do find yourself needing one further down the line.
