Nintendo DSi XL (LL) Goes Bigger And Better?
October 29, 2009
When you need to come up with something new, a good starting point is to take what you’ve got and make it either bigger or smaller – most things in the world of technology seem to go that way (see TV’s for bigger, and mobile phones for smaller) and now the Nintendo DS has followed suit with the Nintendo DSi LL (XL), not long after we wrote about the rumours of a new Nintendo handheld gaming system in development.
The DSi LL is essentially the larger brother of the Nintendo DSi as it is exactly the same machine but 30% bigger, which interestingly gives it two 4.25” screens both of which are bigger than the PSP-3000’s measly 4” one. But why would Nintendo want to do this? Surely the future is in the miniature?

This is never going to end is it?
I can’t remember the last time that we’ve had to wait more than 18 months before Nintendo or Sony have announced a newer version of either the DS/DSi or PSP handheld gaming systems. Well it’s Nintendo’s turn………….again.
I love my DS and don’t think I’ll ever get rid of it as I have some really great games for it and there’s still more to come out, or others I haven’t got round to buying yet.

May 31, 2009
The “Sony PSP Go” has just been announced!…Ok…Right…Well in my opinion, this is just getting ridiculous! How many versions of the Sony PSP are they going to release? Is this the Sony PSP 2 rumour that has previously been mentioned?
The PSP-3000 has not long been released and those at E3 2009 are going to be getting their hands on the PSP Go. What’s different I hear you ask? Well, it seems quite a bit…
It does look quite nice and in my opinion, better than the bulkier PSP-3000 and the 2 other previous models. The PSP Go will be smaller than the PSP-3000, slide the screen up and the buttons will be underneath as seen in the image above.

Here at Zath we’re big fans of gaming and as such made good use of the last GAME voucher code (£5 off) that Game was offering as a discount for all us eager gamers to use on the GAME website.

April 17, 2009
Just perusing the Internet, as you do, and have been reading things about the Nintendo Wii that show that people are starting to realise that the Wii is starting to struggle.
Those views have been acknowledged by Nintendo themselves.
In Japan, the Wii has sold under 20,000 units each week for the past 6 weeks and although this may seem a lot, apparently, it’s bad news in the terms of console wars.

February 21, 2009
The new Nintendo DSi and Sony’s PSP 3000 are set to start a new handheld war. This will be the 3rd versions of their handhelds!!!
Both are retailed at £149.99 with the Sony PSP 3000 release date being 6th March 2009 and the Nintendo DSi release date a month later on 3rd April 2009.
But I can’t see Sony outselling Nintendo on the handheld front. The PSP is more on the media side as there are only a handful of PSP exclusive games on the market and lets face it, they’re not the best games.

Nintendo just can’t stop can they!! A new DS is about to be released, known as the ‘ Nintendo DSi’.
There are a few new features added to the DSi which include bigger screens (17% bigger to be precise), top and bottom. The ability to play back music with improve audio capabilities, and save data onto an SD card, and you can also take photos with the built in 3 megapixel camera.
The camera has a maximum resolution of 640 x 480, which is a decent size for such a small console. Gamers will also be able to download games which will be known as DSiWare and can be stored on an SD card. The Opera browser which is used on the Wii, will be built into the DSi as standard. Some of the DSi ware will be free, but others you will have to buy using, you guessed it, Wii Points. The points values will be set 200, 500 or 800 depending on what it is that you want to buy.
