Viigo Beta: Project Tango Updated

I’ve spoken about Viigo: Project Tango a few times now, in case you’re not aware of it, it’s a great little application that you can download and install for free onto your Blackberry or Windows Mobile smartphone and provides you with a host of information and media all on the one application platform.
I’ve currently got this running on my HTC Tytn II mobile phone and use it primarily as a mobile phone news reader as I find it a very useful way of checking RSS feeds. However, this clever little application has developed beyond just that kind and now has lots of other features, such as even downloading audio podcasts should I want to listen to something to stop me from getting bored on long train journeys.

The Viigo beta 3 download is now available and I must say that it appears to have really moved on and developed well since I last looked at it a few months ago when Viigo was merely a mobile phone news reader application for your mobile phone.
The RSS news feeds have been present for sometime in the various releases of Viigo, so this is somewhat old-hat now, but by subscribing to the news feed of your favourites websites, you’re then able to read the latest updates in an easily accessible format. No more awkward and time-consuming navigation using a clunky mobile phone internet browser for you!
The latest build of Viigo now has several advancements and new features in addition to the previous standard features of being able to check your RSS news feed:

I recently started using Viigo, a mobile RSS Reader which I installed on my new HTC Tytn II Windows Mobile-based smartphone/PocketPC. Viigo is a similar application to Mobispine which I’ve used in the past to keep up to date with my favourite websites and news feeds while on the move.
Viigo’s primary purpose is also to provide people with a way of accessing content with reduced data usage on their mobile phone/device and therefore reduced costs!

Do you like to check your favourite websites/blogs while out and about with your mobile phone? If you do, then you’ll find that there’s one main problem with checking the individual websites and that is that generally the cost of mobile internet access is expensive.
Your mobile Internet usage is usually charged based upon your data usage and as such anything you can do to minimise this is good!
