LG Crystal (GD900) Preview

June 1, 2009

lg-logoLG has now released new handset to add to their ever expanding range of mobile phone options and this one is called the LG Crystal (GD900).

With their recent mobile phone handsets that we’ve covered here on Zath, the LG Renoir (KC910) and the LG Arena (KM900), you’d have thought that LG were firmly targeting the iPhone-style large touchscreen handset market, well they’ve now returned with a new sliding handset.

LG Arena (KM900) Launch Event

April 6, 2009

lg-arena-km900-242During this past week on the 1st April, LG held another of their events similar to the previous LG Secret launch event and LG Renoir launch event, but these are no April Fools jokes! – These events give some of us bloggers the opportunity to get some hands-on time and experience of the their latest mobile phone handset which we’ve previously covered with our LG Arena (KM900) preview.

The new LG Arena compares favourably and builds upon the success of the LG Renoir (KC910) which was launched late last year – an interesting difference is that the LG Renoir has an 8 mega-pixel camera while the LG Arena only has a 5 mega-pixel camera – clearly LG are making some differentiation between handsets here. Presumably, the Renoir would be a better choice for someone wanting to take top quality photo and video capturing, while perhaps the Arena would be better as a general “multimedia consumption” mobile phone handset.

LG Arena KM900 Preview

February 9, 2009

lg-logoLG have released details on the LG Blog of their next flagship mobile phone for 2009 – the LG Arena KM900. From the brief details listed on the preview post, it would appear that LG are certainly building upon the design success of the LG Renoir KC910 which was a touchscreen-based handset which featured great camera and media functionality.

The LG Arena KM900 will be a fully-featured multimedia mobile phone that utilises a customisable 3D cube-like user interface for navigating the menu system and accessing the various features of the phone. This should hopefully make this handset very easy to use given it is a touchscreen mobile phone as so many new handsets are now.

LG Renoir KC910 Review

February 5, 2009

lg-renoir-kc910The LG Renoir KC910 is a stunning mobile phone or perhaps we should say cameraphone given it offers a variety of quite brilliant features whilst keeping that stylish and sleek look of it’s predecessor, the LG Viewty. When I first saw it at the LG Renoir Event I attended, I knew straight away that this would be the best looking phone I had owned, even better than the LG Secret! Now after using the phone for just over a month now I have found it to be very strong and can stand up to those long journeys and nights out and the touch screen is beautifully crafted and has great colours which are easy on the eye.

I have worked my way through the menu on the LG Renoir and have found some very useful features. I rarely had to use the manual to look things up as navigating through the menu was very easy and convenient to use. I always feel that a phone is very personal to each person and this phone fits my needs perfectly. Some of the key features which I enjoy using on the LG Renoir are the 8 mega pixel digital camera with xenon flash, Wi-Fi internet access, touch screen, geo-tagging, music, radio, GPS (using Google Maps software) and games.

LG Renoir (KC910) Event

September 29, 2008

lg-renoir-kc910A few days ago I was invited along to another LG Bloggers’ Event that was held around Covent Garden in London. This time round, the event was for their latest mobile phone called the LG Renoir (KC910).

This is the mobile phone which I wrote about here on Zath a few weeks ago when it was still only known as the LG Renoir KC910 (preview). I’m pleased to see that like I hoped for in my preview post, LG have decided to give its latest creation an actual name to be known as instead of just the LG KC910 – I feel the LG KF600 potentially suffered somewhat marketing-wise from only being known by its model number. I mean the LG Secret sounds much better than just simply the LG KF750.
