LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7 Review (PS3)
November 25, 2011
There’s no more books and no more films, so it’s a welcome sight to see the second installment of the LEGO Harry Potter games hit our shelves. Yet another LEGO game of a popular movie franchise hits our shelves, and I can see how some people could get bored by the amount that are out there. But these games are just too damn fun. So what makes LEGO Harry Potter years 5-7 different from the rest and worth your money?
Lego Pirates of the Caribbean Announced – Captain Jack Takes On Building Bricks!
November 21, 2010
It’s been announced that UK based game developers Travellers Tales will be putting their skills into yet another LEGO game, this time around it will be Pirates of the Caribbean getting the block building makeover.
Travellers Tales have already converted some classic film titles into LEGO including Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman and Harry Potter so it’s no great surprise to see another successful film franchise given the LEGO overhaul.

July 25, 2010
It’s too long to wait for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows to be released for my Harry Potter fix, so what better way to pass the time than the young wizards step into the LEGO world.
Travellers Tales have again come up with another film franchise to turn into LEGO and I did think that this could be one too many, and it would be too similar to previous games like Lego Indiana Jones, Star Wars and Batman. But I found LEGO Harry Potter to be the best instalment of the LEGO games so far even though it’s still the same formula as previous games.
The game follows the first 4 films which will obviously lead to the final 3 films being released at a later date, possibly near the end of 2011 after Part 2 of the Deathly Hallows movie has been released. As with previous titles, there are some brilliant funny little cutscenes throughout the game and there’s no shortage of them this time around.

January 20, 2010
There has been a Lego Star Wars, Lego Batman, Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Racer, Lego Soccer Mania and a Lego Rock Band. It seems like the Lego characters are making there way into every game genre. There latest game, Lego Universe is to be released later this year, is a Lego online game, specifically a massively mutiplayer online (MMO) game developed by NetDevil. The game is a highly ambitious title aimed towards kids. I wonder why they just didn’t go ahead and make a Lego World of Warcraft?
The objective of the game is to join together with other players across the world and help the Lego Universe battle a dark force known as the Maelstrom. The Maelstrom has come to rid the world of imagination and it’s the player’s job to stop that from happening.

December 11, 2009
It’s that time of year where everywhere you look there’s another ‘great’ Christmas gift idea, but as far as I’m concerned this is definitely one of the best ones I’ve seen year: something that can combine two of the great things in this world liked by the men and children in the family, and some women too I imagine! Yes, Lego and digital camera photography.
So do you really need to buy a Lego Digital Camera? Admittedly if you had too much spare time, a spare digital camera, and you were good with electronics you could probably make one of these at home and save most of the £59.99 price tag, but for those less gifted this is great present for both real and overgrown kids!

December 1, 2009
That’s right you can now get Lego Board Games! Those timeless little bricks that have given us endless fun throughout the years have now been incorporated into Lego-built board games. But not just any board games, these have the added touch of having to build, destroy and rebuild the game and even the dice when you play. This gives you something that other board games can’t and that is the ability to never play the same game twice. Each game will be unique depending on how you assemble your board.
Admittedly, these are quite a contrast from a more serious Lego robotics project like the Lego Mindstorms NXT 2.0, but perhaps no less fun as there are various different Lego Board Games from which to choose from, two of which we’ll give a quick run-down of here…

November 29, 2009
LEGO Mindstorms NXT 2.0 is probably the most amazing thing you will ever see in your whole life. Well, almost. This super advanced robot allows you to build your very own machine out of not so ordinary LEGO.
Considering you can construct this thing yourself with little or no knowledge of building robots, it is excitingly capable. There are 4 different types of robot possible to construct from the set, which comes with instructions for all 4 in the box along with a quick start guide and easy to use ‘drag and drop’ software to program and control your robot from your computer.

There aren’t any Wii exclusives on my list as there really isn’t anything for me to get really excited over at the minute. There are good games coming out like Red Steel 2, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Super Mario Bros. Wii, but they just don’t excite me as much as the list I’ve produced below.
So, here are the top 10 games I’m most excited about, in no particular order…
