Bill Murray Confirms Ghostbusters 3 Movie Role

February 8, 2010

Bill Murray has finally confirmed that he will be in the Ghostbusters 3 movie……..as a ghost.

It could be what we’ve all been waiting for since Ghostbusters 2 was released back in 1989, or it could end up being a complete insult to what has become such a cult film.

But either way you look at it, Bill Murray will be reprising his role as Peter Venkman in Ghostbusters 3 along with the rest of the original actors. Now we all know what Bill Murray’s sense of humour is like so I’m only believing his quote 85%……………..well maybe 90%, because he could have said it just for a laugh!

Does US Ghostbusters Game Play On UK Xbox 360? – Confirmed!

August 8, 2009

ghostbusters-xbox-360-coverI know we reported that the US version of the Ghostbusters Xbox 360 game was supposed to work on our UK Xbox 360s, but I can definitely confirm first-hand that this is the case as I’ve played and completed it!

Now obviously, the fact that I managed to set aside the time to play it actually quite impresses me anyway, not because it’s a poor game, but given I’ve still yet to play some games on my New Year’s Resolution games backlog list from 18 months ago!

‘Ghostbusters: The Video Game’ Review (PS3)

June 30, 2009

ghostbusters-video-game-ps3-coverMost people who grew up in the 80’s, like myself, we’re big fans of Ghostbusters and appreciated just how good they were as films which so rightly gave them the cult status they deserved.

For years there has been talk of a Ghostbusters 3 movie and FINALLY Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd, the original writers of the first two films, brought us Ghostbusters: The Video Game.

After all the hype surrounding the game, I can honestly say, it was worth the wait!

Ghostbusters – North American Xbox 360 Version Not Region Locked?

June 12, 2009

ghostbusters-logoXbox 360 and Ghostbusters fans rejoice!

In a previous post, I mentioned that Ghostbusters: The Video Game was going to be delayed on the Xbox 360 and released exclusively on PS3 to coincide with the release of the original Ghostbusters film on Blu-Ray, and that other formats would have to wait till the back end of the year.

I received death threats, bags of rubbish on my door…and well, the rest I can’t say!!

Ghostbusters 3 Movie – Original Actors Sign Up

May 22, 2009

It would now appear that the much rumoured (and then usually dismissed) Ghostbusters 3 movie is ready to move forward after all the main original cast have now signed up for another outing that’s been scripted by Dan Ackroyd. The script apparently took a few re-writes before Bill Murray was willing to sign-up for a third installment of busting ghosts and given he has a 20% controlling interest, his approval of any potential Ghostbusters 3 is vital.

Ghostbusters Game Delayed?

May 6, 2009

ghostbusters-logoIt looks like the much anticipated Ghostbusters game will be delayed again…well for all consoles apart from Sony’s Playstation 3 and Playstation 2.

Sony have snuck in at the 11th hour to steal the rights for the PAL Playstation release of the Ghostbusters game (on the 19th June 2009) to coincide with the release of the 25th Anniversary Ghostbusters Blu-Ray release, which is released 4 days earlier on 15th June 2009.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game Trailer

April 22, 2009

ghostbusters-logoWith the highly anticipated release of the Ghostbusters game almost upon us, I thought it would be good to spread the wealth.

The game is set to be released on 19th June 2009 on all main gaming platforms this year after a few speed bumps which almost destroyed the game from ever coming out. Thank you Atari!!

The game has been written by Harold Ramis and Dan Ackroyd who wrote the original Ghostbusters films. Judging from what I’ve seen of the countless trailers, they haven’t just flung a random script together, it actually seems to be a really good story, could this story effectively be the much fabled Ghostbusters 3 movie?

Ghostbusters 3 Movie

September 9, 2008

A Ghostbusters 3 movie? Yes that’s right folks! The Ghostbusters are set to make their long awaited come back, separate from the upcoming Ghostbusters video game.

The screenplay is to be written by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky who are the co-producers of the American Office. If you’ve not heard of these guys before and are thinking, “Oh dear! They’re gonna ruin it”, there’s still hope. The pair have worked with Harold Ramis, one half of the Ghostbusters 1 and 2 script writers before (the other half being Dan Ackroyd of course).

Ramis directed ‘Year Zero’ which was penned by Eisenberg and Stupnitsky, so hopefully Ramis will help in some way with the script.
