I’ve never had to worry too much about my father having a sense of humour or about offending him with presents, as he’s really just a big hippy at heart. First of all, I have to say that I think it’s great that Channel 5 TV programme, The Gadget Show has such a following and large number of viewers that a Gadget Show Live event like this was firstly planned and then very quickly sold out by the fans of the show – I think that says a lot about a large of people in the UK being quite tech-savvy and enjoying all types of gadgets that are out there.
This was first event that I’d attended of it’s type on behalf of Zath and was quite excited to see what was on show to the visitors of this event after seeing so many great shows on TV that take place in America, Japan etc.

That’s right folks, the GadgetShop currently have a great promotion on where they have reduced all the prices of their hi-tech gadgets by the amount equal to VAT on them, that’s a 15% reduction in prices ahead of Christmas to you and me!
I’ve always remembered visiting the original GadgetShop stores when they first appeared here in the UK, it was a great experience to not only see these gadgets, but also to see them working and sometimes even have a play with them yourself. Definitely one of the highlights of my visits to the Trafford Centre!

The UK gadget site, Gaj-It.com is celebrating the fact that it’s now been going for two years – quite an accomplishment for any blogging website – well done guys! I first became aware of them after I met them at the LG Secret launch event and have been a fan of their’s ever since.

In recent months, I’ve discovered Coolest Gadgets as a great source of information for the latest hi-tech gadgets, it was created and is run by Al Carlton who now has several sites including Self Made Minds.
Coolest Gadgets is one of the biggest gadget sites in the UK and is frequently updated with the latest gadget news and information with several new items being published daily.
One of their latest new regular features on the site is a weekly competition to find the Coolest Gadget of the Week as voted by the readers of the Coolest Gadget website.
I submitted the USB VHS Converter post from last week here on Zath! and it got featured as one of the nominations for this week’s Coolest Gadget of the Week!

I’ve just seen that there’s currently a summer sale going on over at Gadgetshop, who was one of pioneers of gadgets shop around 10 years ago – I remember buying lots of “Hi-Tech Gadgets” back around 2000 – I particularly remember getting a Plasma Ball for my desk and missing out on one of the original large size ITV Digital monkehs!

Do you like hi-tech gadgets? Of course you do, who doesn’t like a good hi-tech gadget? I mean they’re like toys for adults to play with!
I recently met several fellow technology / gadget bloggers at LG’s ‘Secret’ Bloggers’ Event to promote the release of their new ‘Secret’ mobile phone. The event was enjoyable in terms of hearing about and getting to play with LG’s latest mobile phone, we also had the opportunity to talk to the LG people to discuss their products, future directions they may take and the industry in general.
