Tomb Raider: Lara Croft & The Guardian Of Light Screenshots
March 8, 2010
Last week we mentioned that Crystal Dynamics were set to release a brand new downloadable Tomb Raider game titled Lara Croft and The Guardian of Light. At the time, there weren’t any screenshots to show you, but some have just surfaced and upon my first look, it made me wince.
It looks more like a platform puzzle game compared to what we’re used to seeing Lara Croft doing. The camera is very Alien Breed-esque which, for a Lara Croft game, doesn’t bode well in my opinion.

A brand new Tomb Raider is on its way which is to be called ‘Lara Croft and The Guardian of Light’.
Crystal Dynamics who have been responsible for the last three Tomb Raider outings which include the only next gen Tomb Raider, ‘Tomb Raider Underworld’ are set to make the next instalment in the popular franchise starring Lara Croft.
However this time around, Lara Croft is going to be turning up as a digital download-only game title sometime this year. There’s no word on which console(s) this will appear on, but my bet is it will appear on both PS3 and Xbox 360 with the possibility of a PC release and maybe even as a WiiWare game.

July 21, 2009
The ‘Call of Duty: World at War’ Map Pack 2 has only just been released and now Treyarch have announced they are throwing another map pack out next month! As good as the maps are, I do think that they’re doing this to bleed money out of the fans!!
If this is going to be ready for August, why not release it in Map Pack 2?

June 10, 2009
The time has come!…For a new pack of COD: World at War maps!
The second map pack for the popular Call of Duty: World at War is available from 11th June 2009 and will be around the same price as the first map pack.
The first map pack was pretty good, with the second Nazi Zombies pack being my personal favourite, but hopefully the multiplayer maps will be better than the COD: WaW first map pack. They were ok, but there was only one that I really liked which was ‘Knee Deep’.

It’s just been announced that there will be another map pack released for Call of Duty: World at War in June, with another 3 additional maps and another Nazi Zombie map – this should make for a great follow-up to the Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 1.
There’s even going to be extra trophies/achievements available for the PS3/360 with the new map pack.
No news yet as to how much Map Pack 2 is going to be, but I’m assuming it will be the same price as the first one was when that was released a couple of months back.

March 23, 2009
I never knew this, but Sony are charging publishers for people downloading FREE content from the Playstation Network! Yet doesn’t apply to content you have to pay for. This all started on October 1st 2008.
I found this quite shocking as Sony are the only console giant to do so. Microsoft and Nintendo don’t charge which is apparently why downloadable content (DLC) is released on the Xbox 360 a whole week earlier than the PS3 so that the publishers can try and save a bit of money.
They don’t charge thousands of pounds per download, but still, at $0.16 per Gigabyte on each download made, it all adds up. So if a million downloads are made, that’s $160,000 that the publisher has to pay to Sony for people downloading their ‘FREE’ content.

March 12, 2009
The details have been released for the upcoming new map pack for Call of Duty: World at War. In my last post I gave you a brief description of what was coming up in the Call of Duty: World at War Downloadable Content (DLC), but even more information has been released with a release date.
These maps are set to be released on both PS3 and XBox 360 on March 19th. Nothing yet on how much the map pack is going to be, but I’m going out on a limb and saying that they’re probably going to be the same as what they were when they released the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare maps which was £6.99.

Treyarch and Activision has just announced that there will be Call of Duty: World at War downloadable content (DLC) available this March for PC, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3.
In Map Pack 1 there will be 4 new maps to play around and to find new sneaky hiding places so you can rack up that kill count!

January 17, 2009
Wheelman is the new action game from Midway Studios who have worked along side Vin Diesel and his studio Vigon. It’s pretty cool that Vin Diesel is a gaming fan and wants this to be a decent game instead of the usual movie tie-in games as this Wheelman preview shows!
“Vin Diesel stars as Milo Burik, a CIA agent who goes undercover as a Wheelman to infiltrate the gangs and criminal powers of Barcelona, in order to stop a potential nation breaking situation.”
Wheelman is meant to separate from the film, which funnily enough starts Vin Diesel as well. Weird eh! The story is set in Barcelona because of the style of the city and it should make a nice change from GTA games that are all in America.
There are the usual gangsters in this game, with Romanian arms dealers, Spanish Mafia, Chillos biker gang loitering the streets of sun soaked Barcelona.
