How To Get Belkin N+ Wireless Router Working With Xbox Live

September 8, 2009

belkin-n-plus-router-xbox-live-logoI’ve recently had to go through the process of trying to replace my aging Belkin N wireless router which has proven to be something of a challenge as any of you who read my Belkin N+ wireless router review will have found.

The main issue centred around being unable to connect to Xbox Live with the Belkin N+ “out of the box” which meant I spent several hours trying to get it to work. The Xbox 360 reported that the MTU setting of my internet connection was setup incorrectly on my router, which having double checked it with my ISP settings I could see was fine.

Belkin N+ ADSL Wireless Router Review

July 14, 2009

belkin-n+-adsl-wireless-routerI’ll be honest from the start with the review of the Belkin N+ ADSL modem wireless router – it has a flaw and it’s a pretty fundamental flaw if you want to use it for one particular purpose like I did, but more on that later…

I bought the Belkin N+ ADSL wireless router as a replacement for the aging Belkin N1 ADSL modem wireless router which needed replacing as the “quirks” it had were finally proving too much to live with, but rather than talk about that here, I’ll update the original review after I’ve finished this one.

Belkin N1 USB Wireless Adapter Review

July 13, 2008

belkin-n1-usb-wireless-adapterOver six month ago I bought a Belkin N1 Wireless ADSL Router after my previous one had died on me. Once I had the router up and running I then read in PC Pro that there was specific Belkin N1 USB Wireless Adapter to go with it and fully enable the use of the N1 wireless network, particularly in terms of the increased speed.

I therefore followed the instructions in the documentation provided and installed the Belkin wireless software (prior to first plugging in the adapter as instructed). Now I’m not someone to be overly harsh on a product, but it was fair to say that it was less than impressive on the laptop that I tested it with at any rate.

Belkin N1 Wireless Router Review

December 9, 2007

I recently bought a Belkin N1 Wireless Router to replace the D-Link Wireless ADSL Modem Router which had died after 2 years of loyal service. I thought I’d now sum up my thought in a review on the Belkin N1 Wireless Router after a couple months of use.

Belkin N1 Wireless Router

I live in a house with rather thick stone walls which doesn’t aid the transmitting of wireless signals, so I accept that fact that my wireless range may be less than other people’s may be. The D-Link Wireless ADSL Modem Router had a range of around 15m which I thought was quite good given it only cost me about £50 at the time.
