StumbleUpon Websites
There are lots of cool little add-on ‘extensions’ available for Firefox, however this is one of the better ones, it basically allows you to “channel-surf” webpages like you would do on your TV.
You just set up an account, specify the type of webpages that interest you and then click the “Stumble!” button whenever you want a new random page loaded. As it takes you to various new webpages, you can rate them by clicking the thumbs up or down buttons which means future suggestions should become more accurate to exactly what kind of sites you like.
You can also suggest new sites when you come across them, so other people can then have them suggested. It’s also a community whereby you can get to know new people with similar interests if you want to.
I’ve already found some interesting new sites and also re-found some old favourites, so give it a try!

I don’t use StumbleUpon nearly as much as I should. Part of the reason is that it constantly sends me to Flash games that really don’t interest me.
How many times do I need to StumbleUpon BoxHead? It’s a fun game but come on! lol
I’ve heard that it’s great for site promotion as well. A few weeks back I got a big bump in my traffic thanks to them - unfortunately it hasn’t come back around yet so I dunno.
How has your experience with it been?
I went through a phase of using it when it first arrived on the scene a year or two back and I know what you mean about those flash games! Then I think i re-formatted and never got it re-installed.
I took a look at it again a few days ago, submitted this site and saw it almost doubled my traffic (although I’m only talking a few hundred of visits a day here) in comparison the previous day. However that immediate mad rush has now died down, perhaps there’s a “recently added” page somewhere or new sites are given certain priority for a short time?
