Spotify Invites Required Again (UK)

Spotify invites are now required again! The great new online streaming music service had been free for anyone (in the UK) to sign up to since they ditched using invites for us British people, however with the recent launch of their mobile services, specifically their Spotify iPhone app as well as an equivalent for Android users, they’ve had to go back to being invite-only. The exception to this is being if you want to sign up to being a premium member paying a subscription…obviously!
If you don’t fancy signing up to paying a subscription without first trying it out, you can either sign up to the waiting list or if you’re lucky enough to have some friends with some Spotify invites left, then obviously that would be the best way of getting onto the service for the time being.
Now I’ve already wondered whether the Spotify mobile apps were worth it, now it would seem that they have been a little too popular and generating growth to the service that they can’t quite cope with – unless you want to sign up to being a full paid-up member. Now a more cynical person might now be thinking that this could be a way of capitalising on the current media coverage and trying to get as many more premium subscriptions as possible, but I certainly would be thinking that as I’m a big fan of Spotify!
So there you go, a bit more information on this popular music service to follow up on our recent Spotify news roundup, but it shouldn’t get you down too much as I’m sure there’s still plenty of people out there with invites to spare.
In fact I have 10 invites left myself which I’d be happy to give to some lucky Zath readers. All you have to do is be one of the first 10 people to leave a comment below and I’ll get a Spotify invite sent out to you ASAP! There you go, just one of the perks of being a Zath reader! 
UPDATE: I’ve now given away the 10 invites that I did have, however it would appear that a Free Spotify Invite is still not needed in certain cases. Alternatively you could also check out ShareMyPlaylists.com who should still have plenty of invites.

Well i really love spotify and its opend me up to alot of music but im not sure the £9.99 premium service offers enough to convert me! i cant belive they have set it back to invite only, will they change this in the futre months?

I am a relatively new convert to the internet and just beginning to discover a whole new world.Things just seem to get better and better,as my main interest is in the 1930s/40s period I can find lots of interesting stuff on the internet.
Normally I don’t do’ new,’ but now the ‘new’ is my greatest access to ‘old’

I’ve sent invitations to all of you who didn’t already have an account registered to the email addresses you provided – am guessing some of you have managed to get an account set up since commenting.
@Katie – if you re-install the Spotify application onto your laptop, then you should be able to log back in without needing another invite.
I’ve now got 2 invites left, the next 2 people to comment will get those!

Not sure if it works BUT you can still access the create account page at Spotify > https://www.spotify.com/en/get-started/ it’s just they don’t link to it!
