Sonic The Hedgehog Goes Solo In ‘Project Needlemouse’
Ever since the new Sonic The Hedgehog game was announced in which we were told that he’s going back to his 2D roots, a lot of fans were worried this was just another lie to get people interesting. Another worry was whether or not they would introduce more playable annoying, pointless side kicks or extra characters into the game.
Well it looks as though they really are going back to basics as it’s been announced that Sonic will be running solo in the new instalment and be the only playable character in the game. I do hope this means that there won’t be any other hedgehogs or friends of Sonic throughout and he really does go solo.
There’s no official title for the game yet, but has been going under the working title of ‘Project Needlemouse’. I’m quite excited by this news as I haven’t been bothered for the 3D Sonic’s that have plagued our consoles these past few years. I’ve played them, but not bought them and they just didn’t impress me in the slightest. But keep your eyes peeled this year, as Sonic returns in High Definition goodness on PS3 and Xbox 360 this year.
Let’s just hope it lives up the early Sonic games and put’s the blue hedgehog back where he belongs in the gaming world.
