Smallville Season 8 Trailer
The Smallville season 8 trailer has been released ahead of the show starting again in America on 18th September 2008 for what will probably be its final season.
I was quite surprised by Smallville season 7 on a number of accounts, first of all I was impressed by the fact that the producers actually managed to get 20 episodes made in the year that the writers’ strike meant that most shows had a great many less episodes in them, most of them only managing around half as many episodes, such as was the case with Heroes and Prison Break.
Secondly, season 7 kept up a high standard of writing for most episodes and they to come up with some really stories, especially around Lex given that Michael Rosenbaum will not be returning as a series regular in Smallville season 8.
The Smallville season 8 trailer below is mainly made up of clips from the first episode called ‘Odyssey’ which will pick where the Smallville season 7 finale left off with Lex fulfilling his destiny and protecting the Earth from the “Traveller”!
What do you think to the Smallville season 8 trailer? It looks like the ‘Justice League’ will be back for at least the first episode, hopefully they’ll be involved in an ongoing basis too given Oliver Queen will be a series regular.
Do you think the show gone on too long? Do you think the show will have lost some of its appeal now that Lex Luthor and Lana Lang will not be in Smallville season 8 as regulars? Do you think that this is the final season, will Clark start flying?
UPDATE: Good news Smallville fans, the show has now been re-newed for a 9th season!

i have watch the series since the first sadly clark is still not flying

I truly enjoy watching Smallville, as soon as 1 season ends ,I find myself not being able 2 w8 4 the next 1. Eventually annoying the stores 4 the season i just watched, only 2 find out they dont have it yet. But that’s just how entertaining SV is 4 me. Cant w8 season 8 here in South Africa. I’m a big fan and always will be!

Its sad that Kristen Kreuk and Michael R. wont be regulars, especially Lana, but i guess its time 4 Clark 2 find his real true love Ms. Lane and as 4 Lex, he on the other hand is the ultimate villain, Superman’s nemesis, but Clark’s not Superman yet and that will have 2 bring Lex back when he becomes SM, maybe in season 9. Just hope Michael stays on board, i like he is a cunning villain and brings something 2 the story not even super villains can do. PS. Still a big fan of Kristen, YOU ROCK!!!

And Tom as Clark just makes it picture perfect, he plays the hero role extremely well and leaves me wanting 2 watch more of how he goes about saving the day. I’m going 2 miss the moments he and Lana had, it makes me want 2 fall in love with my gf all over again. Anyway, Smallville is just a great series and evry1 in it.
