Envirofone Review (Sell Your Old Mobile Phones)

Written by on August 1, 2008 · Filed under Review, Tech

EnvirofoneThe great thing about the rapid pace of mobile phone technology is that we get to play with lots of new features on our mobile phone handsets as we upgrade to newer models, particularly when we’re on contracts and often get these new handsets for free. But what of your old mobile phones? The answer is Envirofone!

This is the inevitable downside of getting a new hi-tech gadget – I for one have now got to the point where I’m running out of family and friends who I can pass these onto as they’re more inclined to get their own up-to-date handsets. You could try selling these older mobile phones on eBay, but I find the prices are quite often that low that I think it’s not really worth the hassle of setting up the auctions.

What you really need is a place that you can simply sell your handset for a pre-defined set-price, so you can tell straight away whether you’re going to get what you feel is worthwhile for your old mobile phone. With Envirofone you don’t even need to provide the charger or original packaging – especially useful given so many of us end up losing or throwing these things out.

The whole process is a very simple user-friendly one as follows:

  1. Find your make and model of mobile handset,
  2. See how much it is worth,
  3. Complete the online procedure with your details,
  4. Envirofone sends you an addressed pre-paid envelope label,
  5. You send them the mobile phone,
  6. They receive it and test it,
  7. They pay you the value that was shown on the website,
  8. You use this money as you see fit – why not treat yourself to some Discount Shopping Online?

As someone who finds the whole eBay method of selling to be quite a hassle for smaller valued items, I think this is a great option for those old mobile phones you’ve got stashed away in a drawer or cupboard gathering dust – get them sold through Envirofone and make some money! The old mobile phone handsets themselves then also get recycled so you can also sleep soundly that you’ve helped the planet in another small way too!

New places are popping up all over the net to sell or recycle your old cell phones, some even allow you to donate your old cell phones and use the proceeds for charitable donations.

Just as a update, I’ve now recently sold another 3 old mobile phones through Envirofone and have once again be pleased with the smooth service I had from them – can only say once again, so much easily than messing around setting up an auction on eBay where they may or may not get sold.

Sure you might make a little less, but for the time you save, Envirofone has got to be worth it for selling your old mobile phones – well it is for me anyway! :)

Envirofone do offer a great service, they have also recently announced that they will provide people with a free courier collection if they send in 5 or more old phones for recycling.
