Remote Control Hoverpod (Hover Car)

Remote control cars and some driving surfaces don’t go well together as you probably know if you’re ever attempting to take one for a spin on a slippy surface or certain carpets. However, the Hoverpod from WowWee is the one of a kind remote control hover car which glides across almost any surface.

Made from a special durable foam which can take some bruising. The controls aren’t too simple but the radio frequencies of these vehicles allow the of controlling two Hoverpod’s simultaneously thanks to some ‘smart dual channel technology’.

The responsive controls allow for a smooth remote control drive as it drifts, glides and gets ever so slightly airborne for your own personal hovercraft driving experience. It is lightweight and fairly nippy due to the foam body. So it may not be the most expensive model in the world but it is sturdy and able.

The Hoverpod is available in red and blue from for just £24.95 which seems a bargain compared to other, less capable remote control vehicles. Both models are powered by 4xAA batteries rather than a built in rechargeable battery and can be used at the same time to race against each other.

I’ve always wanted a hover car ever since I was a kid and watched ‘Back to the Future 2′, so I’m kind of liking that this is perhaps the first step towards a remote control hover car which would see up having a remote control flying Delorean…hey I can dream!

I think this remote control hover car, the Hoverpod would make a great present for perhaps the younger generation of the family this Christmas, but it can provide fun for the entire family due to the racing ability. And what is Christmas without a little healthy racing competition?
