R2D2 Projection Alarm Clock

When I saw this R2D2 projection alarm clock, I thought that it might be just what I need in my search for an effective alarm clock to get me up early and working away – that or it’s just a really cool novelty piece of Star Wars merchandise!

I recently wrote about the retro iPod alarm clock, but you could class this as being a retro classic too, I mean who wouldn’t want a little astro-droid to project the time onto their walls or ceiling?

I’m thinking this could be a great thing for me and people like me who are short-sighted – a pet-hate of mine is not being able to make out what time it is on my clock/watch without moving over to them for a close look – I’m hoping that having my own R2D2 will fix that by projecting a large red image of the time onto my wall or ceiling!

This R2D2 is around 6.5” tall, has adjustable droid legs to change the angle of the projection and makes authentic ‘Artoo’ bleeps and chirps as it’s displaying the time. Also when the alarm is sounding, you get a barrage of R2D2 noises – that’ll wake you up and make you get up out of bed!

This is probably a great gift idea for anyone who is even slightly interested in Star Wars, if you know an “Artoo” fan and there’s probably even more of them around these days with the new Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon, then take a look at this R2D2 projection alarm clock.

• Projects time, date or seconds depending upon mode selected
• The clock will project the time when alarm sounds, or when demo button is pressed
• Time can be displayed as 24hour clock or AM/PM
