PowerMonkey-ChargersIf you want a sleek, portable device to take with you as a backup power supply in case your phone dies when you’re in the middle of nowhere, you may want to check out PowerMonkey.

Awesome name aside, PowerMonkey chargers come in two varieties and can keep your gadgets running when there isn’t a mains plug in site!

The eXplorer version, available in blue and grey, uses solar panels to keep whatever you attach to it running. You may not want to be in the UK relying on solar power, but if you’re in a remotely sunny place you should be good until you reach a plug! You can also charge the eXplorer version via AC or USB if you want to make sure you have enough power before you leave.

There is also a classic version available in purple, black and silver. This version has to be powered itself from a power source before you head out, but it will hold enough juice to keep your phone or other gadget powered for a good while.

If you’re the adventurous type and want to check the PowerMonkey out, the classic version starts at £26.99 whereas the eXplorer version will put you back £64.99.
