Poken – Contact Details Exchange

Browsing the web, as you do, and came across this new little Poken gadget and was intrigued! It actually sounds like a good idea.

Poken is the new way to exchange contact details with all your chums, although you both need to have one for them to work. But they seem to be really simple to use. All you need to do is ‘High five’ you Poken’s together and your contact details are swapped via an RF connection and voila! You have your friends contact details.

You know that the information has been exchanged/swapped as the little pad on your Poken’s hand glows green and if you’re filling up quickly because you’re incredibly popular, then the pad glows orange to let you know that you’re running out of space.

It’s quite impressive that you can store up to 64 contacts on your new little friend, but the downside is, you will need to know 64 people that each has a Poken.

It sounds like a really good idea that could catch on, or it could be something that will just collect dust next to your computer because nobody else has bought one or you have no friends!!

The Poken come in 4 different characters. Alien, Bee, Voodoo and Panda. It would be really cool if Nintendo gave their blessing to use their characters, so you could have Link, Bowser, Mario, Peach or any one you fancy as your litte Poken friend.
