Play.com Live

Play.com Live LogoWhat’s the Play.com Live Show? It’s only an actual games show being held at Wembley Stadium in the UK this weekend that is open to members of the public!

Some of the upcoming games that are being previewed with the opportunity to try them out are:

  • Ghostbusters
  • Football Manager Live
  • GT5 Prologue
  • Everybody’s Golf: World Tour
  • Time Crisis
  • Echochrome
  • Killzone 2
  • LittleBigPlanet
  • Play TV
  • Buzz
  • God of War: Chains of Olympus

Unfortunately, it came to my attention rather late to attend myself - I would have loved to have taken a look at Ghostbusters and being a recovering Football Manager addict, seeing Football Manager Live would have been great…not to mention going to the new Wembley for the first time, ah well another time!

That being the case, I would highly recommend you check out The Average Gamer and ButtonBandits.com sites who are both in attendance and will no doubt be providing plenty of coverage of the Play.com Live event.

UPDATE: It would appear that given the distance and expense that would have been involved for me to attend means I probably didn’t miss a great deal, but let’s hope it’s a learning experience for next time for the organisers. Aaron - thanks very much for the compliment, it’s always good to get feedback, if you you or anyone has any suggestions for the site, please feel free to contact me.

Forest - from reading on the updates from The Average Gamer and Button Bandits, it would seem there was no playable version as yet - I can’t wait to see what it’s like on the Nintendo Wii - that and the upcoming Star Wars: Force Unleashed is enough to make me get a Wii - what geek hasn’t wanted to be a jedi?!?
