Pioneer KURO Plasma TVs
Pioneer recently introduced a new range of plasma TVs to its already comprehensive line-up that they have on offer. I’ve been a big fan of Pioneer products ever since I started getting into Home Cinema when DVDs first appeared and given I’m now casting my eye on potential upgrades to my 32” Samsung LCD TV, these 50” Pioneer KURO Plasma TVs look very good!
These limited edition models certainly add to the exclusivity of the Pioneer KURO models, in this case they feature white and beige cases and are just 64mm in depth! This way the case frames are distinctive, but shouldn’t be too distracting given the deep black colours that these TVs’ pictures offer.
You may be wondering where Pioneer have got the name KURO from to name these plasma TV models – it’s been used as it’s the Japanese word for “black” emphasising that these TVs have very deep levels of black – a big important factor of picture quality when it comes to plasma and LCD TVs.

Another good point that stands out to me is the fact that you get a full high definition picture of 1080p (much better than my current 720p TV) which would really show off the quality on offer with Blu-Ray movie disks. In addition to that though, the Pioneer KURO TVs come with a built-in optical light sensor which automatically adjusts the picture settings, so that no matter your room conditions, you can be sure you’re seeing the best picture possible.
Finally, in terms of integration, the Pioneer KURO TVs also feature built-in analogue and digital tuners, so that you can view the best possible channels on offer in your area in terms of terrestrial TV.
These Pioneer KURO plasma TVs have now been available since November (and are following the LG Plasma TVs we featured a few months ago), I would say if you want one, be sure to act fast before you lose your chance given that these are limited edition Pioneer models!
