PDF Creator Free

Adobe PDF Creator Free PrinterI think you’ll find that PDF Creator free very useful, I’ve found in the past that you end up doing quite a bit of unnecessary printing whilst browsing online whether it’s taking a copy of invoices or order confirmation screens or just temporary pages to work from, I kind of started feeling a bit guilty about this, just because of the waste factor of it all.

I then came across this rather useful alternative, it’s called PDF Creator free and all you need to do is download and install the file found at the link below and will then appear in your Windows list of printers.

PDF Creator Free

All you need to do when you would normally print to paper is select ‘Adobe PDF’ from your printer dropdown list and press ‘Print’ – you’ll now have a PDF file of whatever would have normally been sent to your printer. You can now file and store this on your computer for future reference in the knowledge you’ve saved some paper and ink!

Save the Paper! Save the World! (Trust me, that will make sense to viewers of the Heroes’ tv show!)

Now this is very useful. Of course now I’m going to have a sudden increase of PDF files on my hard drive.

Pretty much paperless myself for close to a year. Once you chuck the printer you do not miss it much.

This has always been very useful. I use PDF Creator to print off all my online receipts, store them in a secured folder, then back them up to an external drive once a week!

The nice thing is that if you have something like Windows Desktop Search or Google Desktop, you can search your PDFs!

    - Brown Baron, as you’ve seen I have plenty of hard disk space for those PDFs, for the time being at least!

    - Oh now there is a concept digitalnomad! No printer at all, not sure I could do that just yet, but my own personal home usage of the printer is quite low compared to the rest of the house.

    - That’s right Rob, once you’re keeping this kind of information digitally, it’s easily searched through – the amount of time I used to spend searching through boxes of receipts that I kept for all kinds of things was ridiculous, now with using something like this free PDF Creator, I don’t have that problem!

Exactly, i always prefer Adobe PDFCreator for larger files or books and convert to XML, HTML likewise, it will be useful and easier for such conversions….

I’ve recently been looking for a portable version too, unfortunately PDF Creator works by installing itself as a printer, so you can’t really re-create it as a portable app as I understand it.

However, I have been using Portable OpenOffice to load up office docs and you can then export these as PDF files. Give that a try and see how you get on.
