PC Wizard 2007
PC Wizard 2007 is a system information program that I’ve just seen a really useful post about over at Brown Thoughts. PC Wizard 2007 is a piece of software I’ve not come across until now, however, I’ve now had a play around with it and seen that it’s a very useful piece of software for finding out detailed information about your computer system, it can even give you your serial numbers etc.
You’ve always been able to find out quite a bit of information if you go to Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager. Unfortunately it isn’t always as detailed as you may require.
Just this week I’ve had a friend at work that has wanted to upgrade his computer, but was unsure about his exact motherboard details, so wasn’t certain what he actually needed to order. We think we’ve got it sorted now with a fair bit of research, however had I seen this earlier; PC Wizard 2007 would have saved considerable time and effort.
I’d definitely recommend trying out PC Wizard 2007 and best of all this is freeware, so it won’t cost you anything to use!

Free is such a beautiful word. You got an updated screenshot, nice hehe.
Yeah I took a screenshot of my system details (as you can see I need an upgrade!), feel free to use that screenshot yourself if you want.
I think the video card is the only thing you need to upgrade. 5 hard drives? That’s a lot of space.
Yeah I definitely want to upgrade the graphics, not sure whether to go the Intel Duo route before upgrading to Vista though.
The 2×400GB are external USB drives for backup purposes across this pc and two others - I just need to actually backup more frequently!

I’ve actually upgraded my computer since writing this, I may have to update it or even check out PC Wizard 2008 which I’m sure there must be by now!
