PC Wii Remote – Asus Eee Stick Announced

Asus have come up with the Eee Stick which is essentially a PC Wii remote. The PC’s answer to Nintendo’s impressive Wii Remote?

Asus will be selling the Eee Stick with certain models of their Eee Pc and Eee box, as well as some of the games that have been made for use with the Eee Stick.

There’s no news yet as to whether or not the Eee stick will be sold separately to be used with other PC’s.

The Eee stick has been made for 3D motion mode which is meant to be best suited towards sports and action games, a pointing mode for first person shooters and a tilt mode which would be used for games such as flight sims. I wonder how this compares to Nintendo’s new Wii Motion Plus in terms of accurate tracking of the precise movements that are made.

I’m not sure how well this is going to work with PC games, but it could surprise us all and be just as good as the Wii Remote. In terms of getting a PC Wii remote style controller, I expected to see Microsoft release a motion controller for the Xbox 360 which would also work on PC.
