Nintendo DS – Top Games

Nintendo DS LiteAfter inheriting a cheap Nintendo DS with “Mr Myagies Brain Breaker” (long story, wont boar you) I set about trying to find myself some cheap games that I actually wanted to play. “Easy task” I thought, “The DS has been out for ages” I said, “cheap second hand stuff will be kicking about everywhere” I told my missus.

How wrong could I have been. Even the dodgy second hand stuff from the dreaded eBay was gonna cost me at least 1 nights beer money. There had to be a solution!? Ok it’s an old solution, but make sure when you do buy a game that it is one of the Nintendo DS’s top games!

RPG – Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass – Play as Link once more in an adventure to save Princess Zelda…again (she really needs to get better bodyguards!) through some clever implementation of the Nintendo DS gameplay which makes it a bit different from previous Zelda games.

FPS – Metroid Prime Hunters – can you really play a First Person Shooter on the Nintendo DS? Oh yes you can and what a game it is too!

Racing – Mario Kart DS – the classic Nintendo racing franchise can also be played on your Nintendo DS, what more do you need to know?

Surgery – Trauma Center: Under the Knife – You can now play at being a doctor in the ER without actually risking peoples’ lives! This game reminds me of a more developed version of the classic board game, Operation!

Puzzle – Professor Layton and the Curious Village – Solve lots of puzzles in this challenging, but rewarding puzzle game that also has a great story to it!

And the final, most terrible, truly devastating problem that you may encounter is that after 3 hours of playing these games is that you could be the recipient of the infamous “claw hand” – cramp at its most painful! ;)

As a brief summary, Nintendo DS top games = fantastic cheap games to play anywhere, Nintendo have done it again with another top product!

Now that sounds like a clever idea. I think I’m going to take a closer look at this. My son would no doubt drool at its potential for summer time playing.

Hey there, Zath. I returned to find the link to the site you were talking about in this post, but it seems to have been edited. Am I going crazy?

Sorry about that Mark, I assumed that the site that Mike was talking about in the original post must have been cheaply priced due to being grey import products from Asia. However, since it’s been made clear to me that it’s now possibly pirated goods, I felt it best to take that off the site in an effort to maintain this website’s integrity – I didn’t want to be seen as endorsing piracy.

I’ll be updating this post with mini-reviews of some of the top Nintendo DS games in the next couple of days.
