New Zelda Games, Not One, But TWO!

legend-of-zelda-logoSo, if you’ve been itching for the latest gossip on Nintendo’s new Zelda releases, here it is! Nintendo are releasing two new versions of the popular game, one for the Wii and one for the DS (Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks). I’m a little dork at the best of times, but nothing gets me giggling like a little schoolgirl more than Zelda.

Shigeru Miyamoto has announced at a private conference at this year’s E3 that there will definitely be a new release soon, but refused to put a date on it. Let’s hope it’s out by the end of 2010. The game development hasn’t really begun and there wasn’t much to show those that had attended, except a piece of concept artwork – which wasn’t even allowed to be photographed. Thanks for getting us all excited and then knocking us back down Miyamoto! Well, to be honest, I can’t complain much. He is giving us what we want after all.

The DS game looks to be a stunner – with the train game play making a stark change to the last two games being on a boat. There are cannons, new weapons to play with and all new bosses! He has also been given a whip this time, marking a new change in weaponry – so you can feel little like Indy at the best of times. But most of all, he has a train! Did I mention that already?

Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks looks much like the fantastic Windwaker game for the Gamecube and the panpipe music has managed to get me all hot under the collar too, as waiting for these games to be released is proving a harder task than trying not to laugh at Susan Boyle’s failure. Let’s hope this title is out later this year or early next year at the latest.

Well now that this game has been released I’m looking forward to getting it. But I cant say the same for the wii. I hardly ever play that thing and the games are sub par. I bought the new super mario bros and it was almost identical to the one on the ds, I expected something a little extra after all the DS in only a hand held
