New Spotify Usage/Payment Plans (Invites Not Needed)

Music streaming service has been growing dramatically in demand in recent months with user after user craving Spotify invites. But now the company have revealed an all new pricing system which allows for new users without invites and for those who are willing to pay some money for the service, some new options and feature structure.
Spotify Open
So, perhaps the greatest news of all is that now there is no need to wait for a Spotify invite anymore, although you will be limited to 20hrs of music listening per month. The Open plan allows even free users to get straight in to the mix of streaming music using Spotify, using its social features as well as playing and organising your own MP3s.
Spotify Free
This is basically the pre-existing free, ad-supported Spotify experience which requires a Spotify invite to start using, but if you can get your hands on one, you get unlimited monthly music streaming as well as access to the ‘Spotify radio mode’.
Spotify Unlimited
The Unlimited plan above all else gives you the luxury of having no advertising and in addition to that you are given unrestricted streaming for an unlimited number of hours a month. You have access to all the millions of tracks available on the service so there is no restriction in that department.
You also get the ability of unlimited roaming so you can take your Spotify streaming abroad (on the free plans, you only get 14 days worth). The new abilities to share your music taste with your friends through the social networking integration are still available with this plan too. This will set you back a reasonable £4.99 per month.
Spotify Premium
So you may be thinking, why would you want any more than that? I mean that’s exactly what Spotify is all about isn’t it? You can also have the pleasure of enhanced sound quality with this package, which will set you back twice as much as the Unlimited package, coming to £9.99 per month.
Probably the greatest bonus that comes with the Premium package is the Offline playback mode, which allows you to use your playlists without being connected to the internet. Allowing you to have even more portability so you don’t have to be connected to a Wi-Fi connection.
Above all, you can also get Spotify on your mobile with this plan which is surely a bonus worth upgrading to if you enjoy mobile music. With this plan, you also have access to a host of exclusive content, which without testing I can’t elaborate any further on.
What do you make of the new plans? Would you be willing to pay for more content and unlimited access to Spotify? Or will you make do with your current free plans?
