‘Monster Hunter Freedom Unite’ Competition
We’ve recently featured a preview of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite in which we explained the basic premise and what the game entailed, this is certainly looking like a pretty impressive Sony PSP game both in terms of graphics and gameplay – these Monster Hunter games are huge in Japan and Capcom have now brought them to our shores for us to experience them for ourselves.
As part of Capcom’s Monster Hunter Freedom Unite release in the UK also involves the opening of the Monster Hunter Gathering Halls in Central London, a social gaming centre where Monster Hunters from all over can gather together to receive tutorials/training, content and questing events, all free of charge to anyone who has a Sony PSP and a copy of the game.
Capcom have teamed up with Zath to bring you a competition in which the winner receives a copy of the Monster Hunter Freedom Unite game for Sony PSP, with the runner-up receiving a special Monster Hunter T-shirt.
All you need to do to stand a chance of winning in this competition is take a look at the following screenshot and videos and in just one sentence (or more) tell us what specifically appeals to you about this game in the comments section below.
The winner and runner-up will then be chosen by our judges from all the entries (comments/opinions) listed on this page.
Terms and Conditions:
• One entry per person – must be a UK resident.
• The prize consists of a copy of ‘Monster Hunter Freedom Unit’ for the winner and a T-shirt for the runner-up.
• Closing date for entries is 23:59 (UK) Sunday 26th July 2009. Any entries after this time will not be included in the draw.
• The winner/runner-up will be chosen by our judges based upon the best comment/opinion that has been left on this page.
• The judges’ decisions are final.

I want to enter the competition. The reason Monster Hunter appeals to me is you have to fully involve yourself in the game and the fact that tutorial videos have been made show the dedication needed to play such an amazing game.
MHFU is an amazing game! I was actually at the Gathering Hall in London yesterday (Thursday 9th July) and was having a great time with people I never met before. I know with games like World of Warcraft etc you can play with people you never met, but they’re miles away and even though you’re playing together there’s no sense of unity between you… at least when you’re all sat in a room with like minded people you have that sense of unity and new friendship…. It’s an amazing game that everyone who calls themselves a gamer, should look into! I already have a copy of the game, so if i win this comp… can i just have the t-shirt to show my admiration for how great it really is! many thanks
I like the fact that the odds look nigh on impossible, and yet it’s clearly possible somehow to defeat these behemoths. The sense of acheievement must be unparalleled!
OMG LOL this game is totally radical
The behemoths shine a light into my life
These monsters are massive! they are in need of a good ass-whooping if you ask me! i can’t wait to get stuck into the amazing graphics, superlative gameplay and generally emmerse myself in monster hunting goodness….
That snow scene in the first vid = more fun than skiiing.
I was thinking of leading with the cliché things about the sense of unity and all that jazz.; but seriously the MH series is just , for lack of a better word, SWEET!! The graphics look alot sharper and refined. and you do actually get a strange sense of (don’t know if this is the correct term to use) community, knowing that some where out there, there’s somebody else that at the end of the day likes to go home, kick back, go online and join a strangers in kicking the crap out of some big, fat, dirty monsters. A good thing about the MH series is that you really have to immerse your self into the game, its like another little life, haha; and you get a real sense of accomplishment from going “mano a mano” with a Rathalos (or other beast) and being victorious. MH Freedom Unite appears to have all the greatness from the past Monster Hunters and a little bit more, (like those bad-ass sword carrying Felynes). Any way I feel I may have rambled on long enough, I apologise for the countless grammatical errors which have more than likely been made. Some how I feel I may have more than a sentence.
Peace Out ;P
i really want this game because i have the first two, and i think they are just the best, and it looks so good, also i love the freedom you have in the game.
well i hope this is good enough to win it, so bye
Thanks to everyone who took part, just to confirm the winners were as follows:
Ashley Moore = Monster Hunter Game
Bradley Hadwick = Monster Hunter T-Shirt
Be sure to come back soon for all the new stuff on Zath including future competitions! :)
