Mini-Catamaran

mini-catamaranHave you ever thought of owning your own yacht or a (not so mini) catamaran? Of course you haven’t!! Because theose things are huge and you’re not a 60 year old, pipe smoking, port swilling toff.

Have you ever thought of owning your own catamaran? Again probably not, because they are massive, expensive and not exactly the most practical mode of transport… until now!!

Welcome to possibly the best gadget you will see this Christmas, the Mini-Catamaran.

No your eyes do not deceive you, this brilliant piece of engineering is basically a catamaran in a bag. Impossible, I hear you cry, but actually it is quite simple just look at the Blue Peter style help instructions below:

Now the feel of that sea breeze in your hair and freedom that only the open seas offers can be yours thanks to the Mini-Catamaran. The spec of this sturdy sea queen is actually quite impressive. The Floats are 3.1 meters long, the Aluminium mast stands 3.8 meters tall and leaves quite an impression on the boating skyline.

The “Trampoline” (deck) is 135cm by 95cm and can support 235kg, so that’s more than enough to fit you and a crate of tins on. It only takes about 30 mins to erect (don’t snigger) and actually makes an imposing beast once its up. This is all very impressive, especially when you consider it comes in a bag that is 135cm x 30cm x 40cm, weighs 35-38kgs (depending on the model), has a 2 year warranty AND a small repair kit!

The Mini-Catamaran comes in 3 models that each have some subtle differences like; a composite mast instead of aluminium one, the addition of an extra 1.4m2 “jib” sale and probably the most subtle, the colour. All three models look great and have ingenious and cleverly constructed names.

So if you have some money burning a hole in your very deep pockets, why not treat a loved one (or yourself) this Christmas and be the talk of your local Yacht club with this fine piece of modern marine engineering!

In Short: A surprisingly (large) mini-catamaran that fits in a rucksack!
