Microsoft Releases Expert Tips Widget (Sponsored Post)
Microsoft has recently had a real return to form with their successful development and release of Windows 7, that combined with some of their other recent initiatives means that there’s some real vision and lot going on there even though Bill Gates has been gone from the day-to-day running of the company for well over a year now.
Perhaps as a means of showcasing some of things that are currently released or in development, Microsoft UK has released an interactive widget which provides a somewhat different way of giving you an idea of the various aspects of their current technical focus.
The widget itself contains and/or provides access to news, videos, blog posts, how-to’s and interviews on products ranging from their latest operating system Windows 7 to their online cloud computing developments with Azure.
The information is grouped into three specific areas which you can access from the Home section…
- MSDN – Azure
- TechNet – Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008
- Web – SEO and Website Optimisation
Once you’ve selected which of the three sections you’re interested in, you can then access the videos, blogs and links directly from the buttons at the bottom of the widget, also you can click the “Product” button on the right to select which area you’d like to look at from Windows 7, Windows Azure, Visual Studio and Microsoft.net. I personally found the guide to Windows 7 Bit Locker To Go quite useful for securely encrypting your data.
I’m sure you’ll find something of interest in this widget if you’re bit of a ‘techy’ like me and it’s quite good to see Microsoft publicising their current developments in a slightly different way, so if you find this useful, remember you can also share this on social networks and embed this on your blog by using the “Share” button.
