Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Questions?
‘Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games‘ is an upcoming Nintendo Wii and DS game developed by Sega, it’s the first time these two historic Sega and Nintendo rivals of Sonic and Mario have been brought together into a single game!
Now Mario has been doing pretty well in with his games on the Gamecube and Wii, so it will be interesting to see how he does with Sonic joining him for the ride in what looks like a party style kind of game. There’s some details on the game at the Sega site for Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games and also in a preview over at Gamespy.
You may have seen my post not so long ago about the Sega Rally Preview and how I went to play-test it at Sega UK HQ, well I’ve now been invited to a special Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games event being put on by Sega in London this Friday 9th November ahead of the UK launch date of the game on 23rd November.
With that in mind and given at the previous event for Sega Rally, I got quite a lot of time to talk with the guys from Sega, I thought I’d open the floor to any questions that you guys might have out there that you’d like me to put to them regarding the new game title? I’ll then report back here with answers and also with what I think of the game in general.
So either leave me a comment here on the site or drop me an email - I look forward to hearing from you and check back to see my write-up of the Mario and Sonic Olympic Games event!
EDIT:
You can now see the outcome of my visit to Sega’s “Wii Flat” to play Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games at their Mario and Sonic Games Bloggers’ Event.

I played this game long long time ago - it’s marvelous on the huge innovations that they still could incorporate into the game..
I dont have any questions, but seeing mario and sonic in the same game is pretty awesome.
It had been a while since I last played as Mario (Mario Sunshine) or Sonic (Sonic 2 or 3 way back on the Megadrive/Genesis), but having played this new Wii game, it’s cool - I’ll be doing a full write-up in the next day or two!
I picked up the Wii version of this game a few days ago and tucked it away for Christmas. I’ll let you know what I think in two months! LOL …
