The quirky features are all well and good but after a few weeks the touch screen becomes useless the games boring the media menus irritating and the camera isnt that great.
First the positives:
The buttons are easy to use the internet browser is great and pretty quick providing signal is strong and the games are fun at first and its quite clever the way the photos revolve as the phone turns. The phone itself is very good looking and is lightweight and feels good to hold.
Now the negatives, ive had this phone for eight months on an 18 month contract and at first it was great i loved being able to show off the fancy touch screen the clever games and everyone was staggered by how good it looked. However after a couple of months things went badly i noticed that the camera is awful the interface is terrible tryin to take a photo of yourself will almost certainly lead to you hitting the touchscreen and changin to video or something else, if you set the phone up to take pictures in a specific way say change it to take photos of people when you close it it reverts back to normal and flash is always on and its to bright peoples skin appears bright white and its far to bright. The touch screen is very tempremental if it gets a bit chilly it stops working and takes hours to start working again im not talking arctic im talking the peak district in june it stopped responding and took four hours of turning it on and off trying to recharge etc with no reward very disappointing. Next the menus are far to slow to respond the picture organisation is tricky to grasp and the zoom is abit dodgy, the volume is too quite on music tracks and the phone crashes if i try and scroll through messages too quickly. Finally the battery life is atrocious, ive turned the backlight down to its lowest setting and stopped using any media files internet taking calls only sending messages rarely and still it fails to last two days and on full work mode itll last several hours at the most. In these eco filled days surely phones should be made to keep charge for longer?
The screen claims to be scratch proof yet ive managed to scratch it quite easily just putting it in and out of my pocket, the metal on the side of the phone has become worn and is now looking very cheap
Overall i regret purchasing this phone its far too gimicky and abit naff after a while.

I've had my LG Secret for 6 months on Vodafone.
I've had problems with signal not receiving calls, txts etc.
Also the up and down buttons suddenly stop working every now and again, which is very anoying when on internet etc!

I agree with most of the comments made about the phone:
The touch screen takes a bit of getting used to and sometimes lags just a little, but once you get used to it its quite nice.
The General interface and menu systems are really simple and easy to use, it won't take long for anyone to learn!
Kitty, generally problems with texts and calls being late are due to ur service provider but you can try switching the phone off, taking out the battery for a few seconds then putting it all back together. if it continues i suggest talking to the place you bought it from.
I am having problems now that when i type to fast the phone freezes and turns off. It is still well and truly covered by warranty to will be getting fixed care of LG (i hope!)
Overall i love this phone, the camera is simply superb! I would reccommend it to anyone!

@woody - I agree with your about the camera on the LG Secret - it's much better than my day-to-day mobile phone that I use (HTC Tytn II), so if I know I'm going out somewhere I'll always take the LG Secret along as well to get some good photos, plus because it's so thin and light, it's easily carried!

im not great with technology in general!!

but has anybody had a problem with texts and calls?? cos some people try calling me and it goes straight to answerphone even though my phone is on with great signal. also sometimes i dont receive texts until a few weeks later... makes it pretty tricky to keep up with conversations!!!

anyway any help would be good - do you think its a problem with the phone? the sim? or the user?!! lol
