LG LCD & Plasma TV Collection 2009

LG recently held a TV event at the Ideal Homes Show at Earls Court in London in which they showed off some of their new TVs for 2009 and also answered some questions about their new products, similar to their previous events in which they showcased their new LG Plasma TVs.

First of all, to outline some of these new TVs and some features to note of this new LG TV range are:

• LF7700 is a 1080p LCD TV (in sizes 32” up to 47”) that comes with built-in Freesat which means that you get a digital satellite service of over 140 TV and radio channels including HD content from the BBC and ITV for free – without a subscription charge.
• PS8000 is a HD Ready 1080p Plasma which comes in sizes 50” and 60” with THX-certification which means that your movie watching will be up to the standard that the Hollywood movie director intended it to be when it was made including having a “razor sharp picture”.
• LH7000 is an LCD TV available in sizes between 32” and 47” and has been especially stylishly designed to provide 1080p HD pictures in a super-slim design.

Take a look at the video below from the LG TV preview event at the Ideal Home Show in which LG answers some questions about these new LG TVs for 2009, which I’m sure a lot of people are interested in hearing to especially in the current economic climate and also with regard to the environmental implications of buying a new TV. I rather like the fact that you can actually fully turn off the TV with a manual button on the TV instead of having to leave it one standby if you can’t turn it off at the socket.

I for one am rather tempted to upgrade my current Samsung 720p HD LCD TV, especially given the fact that most of us are staying in a bit more these days to save money on going out quite so much, having a great looking TV experience is perhaps a worthy investment in the greater scheme of things?
