Lego Millennium Falcon

lego millennium falconWhat would you say if I told you that could now buy a Star Wars Lego Millennium Falcon to build of your very own?

Well…you can buy a Star Wars Lego Millennium Falcon to build from scratch! Now what do you say to that then?

This is quite simply the best Lego set you can buy if you’re a Star Wars fan, the Lego Milennium Falcon has the following specifications:

# With 5,195 brick pieces, this is the biggest LEGO set ever made!
# Model is built completely to minifigure scale - minifigures can sit inside and man the controls!
# Landing gear provides a stable base for model to stand on!
# Ship is over 33″ long, 22″ wide and 8″ tall! (84cm long x 56cm wide x 21cm tall)
# Radar dish rotates and elevates and boarding ramp extends!
# Top and bottom quad-laser turrets rotate for realistic play!
# Cockpit top can be removed to access minifigures!
# Includes 5 minifigures: Han Solo, Chewbacca, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa!
# This special set also includes a display card with detailed ship specifications!

You might be thinking that because you built Lego as a kid then this will be a walkover, well consider the task at hand that will be required to build a 33″ x 22″ Lego Millennium Falcon….how would you begin?

Well obviously any Lego builder of worth knows you first need to sort all the various Lego bricks. Take a look at the video over at Gizmodo which outlines this process!

Then you need to get to the actual task of assembling this mighty Lego Millennium Falcon! It reminds me of assembling flat-pack furniture, except this is actually fun! And so much more fun at that!

I will have to save up a lot of cash for a purchase like this, but just imagine taking on this great Lego Ultimate Collector’s Millennium Falcon project, the assembly manual weighs 4 pounds itself! - think of the story you could tell your grandchildren if nothing else, although it this model probably won’t do “point five past lightspeed” no matter what Lego Han Solo will tell you! ;)

Surely you’ve got to get the set in pieces and build it up from that - just think of the experience, a project to work towards! :)
